snag Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) Well the pike are ON! Definitely hit "Happy Hour" today with a fishy "Happy Ending" Had a wack of follows but only one taker. The follows were mostly in shallower areas. The follows were big fish too. But I think the BIG ones are still in water deeper than Neil Pearts lyrics. She was from the deepest spot. My scale said she was 19#'s but I think 17-18#'s is more realistic. She swallowed the lure pretty deep. Luckily, my spreaders did the trick and the surgery was quick and minor. My ear to ear grin says it all. Get on out there! S. Edited March 24, 2008 by SNAG

setomonkey Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Nice fish! Always wanted to ask this question of you early spring pikers, what's the fight like? I would think they are kinda sluggish in the cold water, but I've never caught them this time of year so have no idea. Mike
