  1. What Quintet lakes are you referring to. Is this North of Sault up mile 38 road or somewhere else
  2. Thats true in many cases but that time we went to Lady Evelyn, boat in only, and would have had to haul it anyway. And up here around St Marys river Lake Huron north channel it doesn't hurt to have a bit of gas on board. Pros-Cons
  3. I had always heard..herd? that snapping at a snag can break a rod. 40 years fishing and I snapped a brand new St Croix. Hope he can do it.
  4. Sorry but Devils advocate I have an on board in my 16' Sylvan and fished Lady Eveleyn for a week and never had to put gas in or change a tank . Thats a nice feature . Pros and cons
  5. Thats plenty of gas in my mind. My 60 will run wide open for 3 hours on that much gas. Easier to keep fresh fuel in it. Pro's and cons but not something I would dwell on
  6. I used mine for 3 years...you just aren't fishing enough..same as me
  7. I built a trailer, went to service ontario and said I wanted plates for my homemade trailer, paid 40 bucks and got a plate and ownership. I think they may have told me to write the vin number they gave me on the trailer. You are not allowed to put your boat trailer plates on another trailer but it is fairly common practice to have one plate for multiple trailers. Works well if you have multiple home made trailers
  8. I'm late to the dance but your owners manual has prop changing instructions/procedures including torque values for the nut.
  9. Mine shuts off too. Very frustrating, generally when I run the motor over number 8 speed. Hijack alert I only changed battery once and got the new one at tool town...no name
  10. No kiddin. I have an appointment opening day of walleye season. Guess what I'm doing that day.
  11. somewhat funny but also a bit serious. The only way we beat this is to not pass it on I'm not allowed to go to my only grand daughters second birthday without quaranteening 14 days And I don't want to spend 2 days in airports either. we need this to be over
  12. LOL..you can give the shore spots away now that you have a boat
  13. sweet looking ride, congrats Make her get a JRT
  14. The variants have learned to jump further...mask at 10 feet keeps you mostly safe
  15. A long stick clip a stick on the the handle of the 2.5. A tiny bungee cord would work, gauge it with a couple holes to hook the bungee tight. Some polished diamond will would make a sweet looking handle
  16. If he didn't suggest checking for a license at the launch I would sign it. And maybe fish with the people you live with, not just limit randoms to 2. We are distancing right now, not picking best fishing partners. I just want to launch with my dog and go fish a bit I am in a low risk community and our municipal launch is barricaded while I hear you guys in Hamilton etc hot zones saying launches are open
  17. Dara

    BOQ opener

An old friend went fishing in BOQ this weekend but way up here out of the hot zones our launch is barricaded
  18. Just seeing this now Good to see you still posting
  19. I think Yellowknife opted out of that Congrats Dave. Heck of a weekends work
  20. Did Trump endorse this Iv stuff? He knows what he is talking about when it come to treating the covid
  21. Ontario should do like NWT You file a written application stating a valid reason to get in to the province and if accepted you quaranteen for 14 days. If you are essential how can you get time away from work...mind blown here too
  22. Thats the problem, They would make the 15 hour drive. Close health zone borders. And ottawa is not a hot zone so no vaccines there till the rest of the province is covered...Sorry Justin
  23. Hey, Thats where the part time high school drama teachers assistant says the luxury tax kicks in. And only at 250k for a new boat....something tells me his buddies want new boats sorry to be political but its so funny
