I'm not going on any ice where I might need a flotation suit. A half decent snowmobile suit should be all you need
-
Its not in the "UP" its in lower Michigan Past Traverse City which is a cool spot to walk around for a day. Touristy area but some good fishing. lake charters and stuff. Definetly not a wilderness area but the dunes are likely pretty cool too..the ones up on Superior are neat

Thats the Agawa canyon tour train in the beginning of the film...just north of the Sault
-
Salmon and rainbows in the rapids downtown. Warm waders and felt soles are a must. Not much in the way of float fishing there unless you want to end up in lake Huron. Every gate is open. You almost need earplugs to dim the roar. There is rainbow fishing in the rivers up north of the Sault but read the regs as some rivers can be closed. Again its wader country. Talk to Orst at the trading post on 17 North. he will sell you stuff and point you in the right direction

Just another reason to have snow tires. I keep mine filled with winter air and never have a problem They have to be stored in a cool spot for summer though

Maybe it will knock down some of the fires and smoke

The 60" muskies taste better than the 40s any day...something about them makes the bigger ones taste better -
My neighbour was camping fishing a couple weeks ago. Past white river 20 miles down a bush road Wardens show up Sunday morning the day they were going to leave. One fish they didn't eat the last meal didn't have skin. Asked why not they said they couldn't eat all they prepared. Ok. Fine. So the search starts. Every pack they had. Through the tent. Into the trucks. Down to the lake 100 yards away where the boats were. Into the boats. Under seats looking for an empty beer bottle. Nothing to be found. He says they are there looking at each other wondering what the heck is going on with these guys. Are we criminals. Co says. This camp is a mess. We will be back after you leave to make sure it's spotless. No power trip there.

Garage Build Question, cost of concrete work

First off, where are you What kind of ground I can't see needing actual footings, just thickened slab around the edges with a couple runs of rebar Lay out your pad. Make sure it is high enough that water does not flow in after its poured Hire somebody to excavate Hire somebody to form pour and finish decide if you want drains...drains are nice. Here we are allowed to let them just flow out onto ground in our yard but not towards neighbors Rough guess for a pad that size with decent access for trucks 20-25 thousand I built a 24x26 a few years ago...cost me 25 all in with heat insul power and drywall -
It doesn't mattter. With all the new live bait regulations. You have to carry the receipt for minnows and worms and they can't be more than 2 weeks old. Everybody will stop fishing and hunting. Liberal agenda achieved.

I'm not going to be much help here for you but maybe others. I buy the cheapest one I can find of the size I need. It lasts about 5 or 6 years and then trash it The last one I got was identical to the previous and it cost $179.00 at Home depot Does everything I want it to do.

The way we are dumping water from Lake Superior its not going to get any lower downstream either But it ain't raining...sunny and hot for the next 2 weeks -
Lots of chincy charges and every once in a while they catch somebody with a crap load of fish Like I said, Its funny when you read the reports the day after they set up at the border The sign says game check station...if they wave you in you go in, if they don't you keep going..if they are suspicious they chase after you but I don't believe you did anything wrong by keeping going if they didn't wave you in
-
Isn't that because its always dark then
-
Look at a couple steel posts and a frame to mount them. It would be easier on your roof in the long run and easy to drill a couple epoxy anchors into that rock to hold the posts likely cheaper than what you need for roof mounts as well
-
Yup. Any one I have been stopped there is some sort of officer picking which one to flag in and which ones to pass on. If he doesn't wave me in I keep going. For what it's worth though. I have gotten away with lots of stuff by being polite and just got a warning
-
I kinda got what when I read it again but Why would you ask Me that....can't find a suitable smiley for this...and they wouldn't anyway
-
Sure, turn it into a political thread

A CO most definetly cannot search your house without a warrant. Your fish camp if he can claim probable cause yes, but not your house. And I know guys kick the game warden off their camp deck because he just stopped by to talk
-
Put the solar panels on a big pole beside the house. They are getting quite popular around here With a good battery bank and a bit of a generator you have it made
-
I don't believe they do without probable cause

We are having a by election in 2 weeks. Can't wait

Oil and flour for cooking fish There was this guy that used to come with us once in a while. All he brought was a loaf of bread and strawberry jam. He caught everything else he ate -
They set up checks here fairly often. If you,re fishing you have to be nice and cooperative but if I haven't been fishing you aren't searching me without a warrant That's like coming out of Walmart with some new tackle and they want to search your car. They nail lots of tourists when they set up at the border here. It's kind of our entertainment reading the reports the next day
