    Stupid me

I would dump it it the truck but it wouldn't get near my yammie outboard
  3. Open all year here too. I think its the government wanting to control. Here where we don't care or bother with them, its open, down south where you want to fish them, its closed...thankyou Kathleen PS, I caught a couple nice 4-5 pounders this weekend while fishing for walleyes
  4. I'm thinking you missed the Haviland Bay part..its somewhat sheltered from the big lake. The Superior part was to describe water temp..there is still ice out there Lots of people run around in 12' boats there but they stay close to shore
  5. You sure do a lot of fishing
  6. Why stupid? as far as I understand it wasn't really too rough out there that day he just had some bad luck, maybe hit a wave bad or leaned over, crap happens and if you're prepared you make it through
  7. Just last week a guy was out on haviland Bay, Lake Superior in a 12' tinny. He tipped over somehow, the water is 40 degrees tops. He just happened to have a life jacket on and a whistle on a rope around his neck. Blew the whistle, campers heard it and pulled him out. Lucky or smart?
  8. The joys of living in the north. Every once in a while there will be somebody already launching when I get there, and every once in a while somebody will show up when I'm pulling out, but, being as there are 2 ramps, it doesn't matter.
  9. Exactly what I do...If I pass one and a red light is ahead, I get tight to the curb so they can't get by without climbing the curb...they generally stop behind me
  10. Thanks Guys...it all helps a bunch. We don't have a costco anywhere near here and I need it for Friday. I founf d a group 27 dual 850 at Atlas for $140. Gotta see if it fits. I was wondering about duals and after the posts they sound ok..thanks
  11. I have a 2010 EFI 60 Yamaha It came with an Interstate 500 amp cranking battery. It is going bad on me. I'm not sure what size to replace it with. I went into a non reputable boat dealer and he said I needed a 1000 A friend that I trust said that I should go with a 750 or 800 because they pack too many plates into a 1000 and they don't end up working well. the 500 worked fine for me for 4 years now Looking for some insight to help me with a decision I will also be needing a deepcycle in short order as well...40 lb trolling motor Thanks Dara
  12. Hello...Darwin.....can you come out to play???
  13. I don't see where its an April fools day joke....sounds exactly like something they would do Other than the red underline under Benhaad's name but he has been working there for years
  14. I wouldn't go less than a 12' aluminum v , preferably a deep v with a 6 You wouldn't get me in a jon boat
  15. Lots of old horse manure if you can get it...or, that bagged manure and peat moss...turn it in well...weed often, enjoy. You don't give a location so I don't know when you can start
  16. Target is closing because nobody shopped there, now they have a bankrupcy sale and everybody flocks there to see what they can get for nothing and then complains when they don't get it....ooookie dooookie
  17. Just remember...its the Liberal govt we are talking about here. It doesn't matter the topic, public input is not allowed...they know whats best for them and thats it
  18. EI started as an insurance policy that all workers paid into to have a few bucks when they end up out of work...a recession came along and it started to cost govt money so they lowered the benefits and upped the requirements to collect. Then the recession was over and it started to make a pile of money. The govt saw free money sitting there and stole it from the insurance fund.
  19. aww skip it
  20. Harper ain't doing nothing to help Kathleene
  21. Because EI only takes federal tax off, not provincial
  22. You have a good sled to pull it with
  23. Relating to where I live and what I have access to, I agree with Green orange. If you want a theme park in a trailer experience, Michigan is a good place. If you want a wilderness camping experience, I wouldn't even both with the PP's. I just go back to a favorite lake with a tent or trailer and i'm basically alone for the weekend, or however long I stay. No power, no running water and no public bath house, but free
  24. I like them stuffed and baked. Bread in 3/4" cubes, celery, salt and pepper, a couple squirts of lemon juice, diced onion. bake uncovered whole with skin on. Get rid of the mud line when you peel the skin off. The crispy part of the stuffing is good but it gets mushy towards the middle
