I asked why my meter wasn't read and she said that it was too cold to send the readers out. They really seem to be playing this cold winter theme. It is in every bit of correspondence they put out. I work construction and our guys were out there all winter, plus I put 3900 km on my snowmobile. It was a bit nippy but come on.

I recieved my natural gas bill 2 days ago. I noticed right away that it was over double the usual amount. Upon closer reading I see that my consumption was over double for April. A bit more reading and I see that the previous months bill was an estimate and April was a reading. It was reconciling a low estimate. Since my wife usually pays these bills and I don't know where she keeps the old ones I couldn't look them up. (she is currenyly away in Nacaragua doing humanitarian work) I emailed the gas company and asked when my last reading was. I was estimated for the whole winter and they said that due to a cold winter the estimates were likely low. I can buy that. But, gas prices went up 40% as of April 1 (thanks to the Lieberal govt approving it and I don't think the date is a coincidence) They had billed all the extra gas I used through the winter at the new higher rate. Now its time for a phone call. A nice girl answers and I ask about my bill. She starts the speil about the cold winter and I cut in and ask why its all at the high rate. She says, oh, sorry, we will adjust that. I asked how it happened in the first place. She says they don't look at bills, they just have a puter send them out. All I am saying is, take a look at your bills and its a simple phone call for an adjustment. The gas company really isn't trying to pull a fast one on us.

I love when they use that as an excuse. Ontario is the only great lake province or state that they can fish for free this town has the lowest taxes, so wer'e just gonna raise em this town pays employees less, so wer'e gonna pay em more this place doesn't charge for that which means the government is ripping itself off, so we are now going to charge...and the most, because then all the others will be charging less and want to catch up why can't they just not spend so much

Ya just gotta keep switching them up so they don't get too comfortable...thats when they screw us. Plus, its takes 2 terms to get a pension...just don't vote for the same one twice

All this flock of people fishing has to get from Toronto to there somehow. Its good to see kathleen using her "revenue tools" to get the people using the roads to pay for them.

Right...the government should cut back on services because taxpayers are wastefull

Here's your license but its an extra 5 bucks for a copy of the rules...no...we pay enough that they can print the rules and give us a copy. They get enough ad revenue off them to cover it anyway.

Heck...talk about technology...The paper tonight says that Mr Orrazetti was "suprised" by being taken to court over his bear hunt...why would he be suprised...I found it on the interwebs...didn't suprise me a bit plus, them regs are a 50 page book...I'm not gonna print them myself when I can stop at the store, buy a candy bar, and grab a couple copies for free.

Got em...the guy says the hunting regs are whats going to be hard to get. those are easy though...lots less conditions and exceptions. you don't need a copy with you

I think, its really nice living in the north where we don't have all these problems. You should include scugogg in the Ford/Wynne mass transit line. Why not have them stock the lake a bit more...and keep them steward groups out of it...their ultimate goal is to close a lake for anything except property owners use

I don't know what the treaty act says. I see that its fine for natives to sell walleyes out of nip I do know that the takers in this instance weren't charged. Whether or not this is a lack of intestinal fortitude by the government I have no idea.
