  1. Not for me...glad to be rid of 2 stroke smell, I'm not going diesel.
  2. Its a Yamaha. Do an oil change, super simple. 3 litres of marine yamaha 10W30 oil and a filter Change the oil in the lower end, again, simple. Put the muffs on and start it. Watch for water squirting out the upper hole and I would bet its fine. If it doesn't start, then take it in
  3. I got stuck bad last year with cablelas and min kota because I didn't read the rules they make. Well they make the rules so they can live with them as well. While I don't really agree with playing the system it will certainly play you if if has a chance so I'm not going to knock somebody for taking advantage. Maybe laugh a bit but they are only following the rules for their own best interest.
  4. And the grocery store sets up every trick they know to get you in there and spend money. They spend millions on marketing and price gimmicks is part of the game. Take it when you can. A penny mistake is like hitting cherries on a slot machine
  5. Lift one off from Yellowknife bay and a plane is going down
  6. Looking at the price on them for a lot of us its a choice between a boat or a fish finder
  7. The other day and sent me a picture. Nice dark lakers The place needs some fish pics so here goes. And a nice shot of Lake Superior from a trip I did the other day for work
  8. You guys have no snow down there Base on our trails right now is 5-6 feet Ice out is still way off
  9. Museum is right downtown and there is a nice boardwalk along the river there. One of the best walleye spots is in front of the hotel by the mall 15 minute walk up around the locks puts you in steelhead rapids Yeah, you should see the locks too
  10. In Sault Ste Marie, don't miss the Bushplane Museum. One of the things thats truly worth seeing here. What MJL said about the fishing. leave to head north in the morning..as nice as the Rockies are, The trip from Sault to Thunder bay is a close second You don't want to miss it driving at night
  11. I got a Husqvarna a few years ago. I love that mower. Its easier to handle than a self propelled. They have bearings in the wheels that makes it super easy to push. I have about the same size yard as you with a bit of a hill. Its also the only mower I have seen that the bag is tapered the right way. The big end is at the opening so clippings drop out instead of wedging in there
  12. Yellowknife is classified as a "semi arid climate" so it hardly rains there...no worries about noise. If it rains you actually may want to know And Dave, don't skip the membrane between the steel sheets and roof deck...thats a very important item
  13. Best store I can get to is Gander in Traverse city...anything else is 5 or 6 hours away
  14. Hollow a bowl into it, pour your beverage in and drink with a spoon Sure is some pretty ice though
  15. I was just going to post these in the is there any ice thread...Hope you don't mind me putting them here Dave
  16. Yup, there is the shedding with a Lab. When we lost ours the wife and I really noticed that the vacuuming frequency went down. She is looking at a Manchester Terrier now but they seem a bit crazy to me
  17. I had a Weimaraner...never again. Beautiful dog but as said you can't leave them alone and you need 100 acres minimum to exercise them. Mine tore my house apart. Chewed through doors, chewed through a cage door made out of 2x6. Chewed through a chain link fence on her kennel Barked all day long when alone Black Labs are best. They will play with the kids and protect them. Goldens are too timid and lazy
  18. I live in sault. My wife has a little car and puts snow tires on in winter She says they work just fine. At your 5 to 10 k a year I would think about the extra maintenance cost gas all that versus real value We have had about 350 cm this year. No issues.
  19. Can I ask why you need all wheel drive?
  20. It all comes down to how the seat fits you. Nothing else really matters
