I had a Weimaraner...never again. Beautiful dog but as said you can't leave them alone and you need 100 acres minimum to exercise them. Mine tore my house apart. Chewed through doors, chewed through a cage door made out of 2x6. Chewed through a chain link fence on her kennel Barked all day long when alone Black Labs are best. They will play with the kids and protect them. Goldens are too timid and lazy

I live in sault. My wife has a little car and puts snow tires on in winter She says they work just fine. At your 5 to 10 k a year I would think about the extra maintenance cost gas all that versus real value We have had about 350 cm this year. No issues.

If the limit is zero then its zero for sport or con. Unless it specifically says no fishing with con and doesn't specify a different limit then its the same. You can't keep less then zero..and half of zero is still zero

They seem to be hauling people out on thin ice for money. Its one thing for a single private sled to go through but when you have a load of paying customers you need to take a bit of care. They should at least be looking at the situation to avoid future catastrophie

The only reason I snowmobile and ice fish is because we have snow and ice and I'm not going to skip a quarter of my life. Oh yeah. Also. Ice fishing is the best

I'm guessing if you put a knife to it and a CO see's you, charges will be laid. No matter how honorable the intentions. My son just bought a drone...that thing flies high and you can't hear it in the wind so don't ever think you are alone

Thats right. Not too many people around here that fish regularly respect the possession limit. They respect daily limits but usually have a few in the freezer for slow season. You gotta be doing something really extreme to get a CO checking your house freezer. Personally, I only keep a couple to eat right away..I don't like freezing fish. If I can't eat them, I give them away

If there is an off topic I think everybody is going to look there anyway just to see if somebody needs trailer or tire help. They may not click on political threads but otherwise no difference. To have a strictly political area..meh, can't see that working real well. Right now there are only a few political threads, people do keep them to a minimum. To have its own area I think we are inviting trouble...either it wouldn't get used or many members would only hang out there and miss a lot of good fishing which is what this forum is all about anyway. We just get a bit distracted waiting for good ice.

I believe the politicians try to have our best interest at heart. For me they just don't explain enough. I think they hide a lot of the plan because they think people can't grasp the big picture and a lot can't. Take the green energy plan. Lots of it is crap to us but now I hear China and a few other countries are looking toward solar power. From what I hear it is now one of the cheapest forms of new power. Due to our commitment to development and research. We can be building this and importing knowledge to other countries. That's real jobs not just assembly line stuff. Then you get to the guaranteed minimum income for those that don't have big tech jobs. We all have to live and factories are a thing of the past. Machines do it all now...big picture
