  1. Don't let the Leafs try to sucker you into a contract Dan. It ain't worth it!! Congrats on the win!
  2. Welcome along Jr. Listen to fellows like Big Cliff and you will not only learn skills but how to be a good person. I was fortunate to have several fellows to learn from in my youth, only it didn't sink in right away.
  3. Jr likes to drive up next to the wall. That way when he spins out it doesn't hit as hard. He's lost his nerve. And really, he has all the money he'll ever need. He may as well quit and let somebody in the seat that wants to drive. Don't get me wrong, he's OK, but I think his glory days are over. New crew chief? Don't think it will help. He's had several good ones over the years.
  4. O dang, I just spent the last half hour going through old pics. Too late, I spent the time. Just for fun, here is my Dads gang from waaaaaay back.
  5. Two summers. Spoiled fat kid sent to work on a farm at 14 years old. At first I hated it. After 3 weeks Mom had to drag me home after work. I ended up staying there through the week nights. What a learning experience it was. I proved to old Charlie I could drive the equipment and he let me loose. Very cool! Raking, baling, hauling, using the manure spreader were all things I looked forward to. That summer the two of us put away 12,000 bales. I kept a glass in the dairy and after haying would head down and scoop the milk (mostly cream) off the top of the cooler. Always did like milk, still have a glass a day. The end of the summer I bought a used mini trail 70 and went back to school no longer fat with added muscle on. Worked for another farmer the next year, better pay but all we had to do was pile hay. Not near as much fun.
  6. That was the first thought that crossed my mind when I read the opening post Wayne.
  7. Oooooo, the silence from the leaf fans is deafening. And the Leafs owners are still laughing all the way to the bank. How much longer will this go on??????? It's sneaking up on 50 years of ripping off the fans. Ol Harold was a guy that knew how to rake in the bucks. And the tradition continues......Tune in next year folks, same time, same channel.
  8. Something like this happened at my house 20 some years ago. Only it was a guy and he only made it to the top of the stairs before he found himself quickly at the bottom after a good heave ho. I felt sorry for him after I found out he lived in the house one block away. He was pretty badly bruised but nothing broken. And yes, he was at his sisters wedding dance at the local Legion hall.
  9. I'd take the Ford heads and tails over the Equinox. Every time we get an Equinox in the shop we find something wrong. The Escape isn't infallible either but it is a much better quality vehicle.
  10. I don't have anything profound to say after that. Just a picture of an old friend many years ago.....on the seat of his tractor.
  11. Ha! Twin jets on the keyboard.
  12. Callander Bay is the eastern most part of the lake. The South Bay, which consists of the South River mouth, Hunters Bay and Fish bay is south east.
  13. I agree with Gerritts suggestion. Salt is something they crave. I seen a couple of outhouses that were completely destroyed by them.
  14. Any volunteers? http://northbay.kijiji.ca/c-community-volunteers-TRUCK-STUCK-IN-ICE-ON-LAKE-NIPISSING-VOLUNTEERS-NEEDED-TO-HELP-W0QQAdIdZ253432954
  15. Very nice fish Limey!!!
  16. Perhaps TJ. I'm just a wrench wielder, not a lawyer What about folks that install bubblers around their boathouses in the Muskokas? Are they Liable?
  17. As soon as they put up a sign it could make them liable.
  18. Right near the septic plant. Idiots. There are places on any lake to avoid. You can't just go anywhere you please without knowing what you are doing when driving on frozen lakes.
  19. Ha! Thanks for the laugh Wayne.
  20. Small world Vance. Kim is a friend of Marks.
  21. My brother Mark is at the Crestliner display this week. Somebody go over and make sure he's working.
  22. Sorry for your loss Rick. My condolences to you and your family.
  23. Hiya Chris! Glad to see you here.
  24. That is a cedarstrip my grandfather built late 1940's.
  25. Head to the cottage on weekends and putter with whatever I feel like doing. And do stuff like this on weeknights. Last winter redid this little engine. And this old boat. And this winter going to do two, beginning with this one.
