  1. Hey Cliff, hope we can find some pike that size next weekend (or bigger). Nice catch! Looks like some fun to reel in.
  2. Nice catch Steve. Eat em up guy....Very tasty. I try not to fish the same area all the time as well.
  3. I think that fishing season is closed at that time. Not 100% sure cause I quit about mid September due to hunting season.
  4. Was a Cub, Scout as a kid and when my sons were of age became a leader for several years. Was a very rewarding experience. The Kids just loved it. Especially when we went to the hunt camp or on fishing trips. We also built a canoe at the boat shop and a go kart at my shop. Lots of fun!
  5. From another point of view from one who lives nearby. Old growth forests hold little or no wildlife. The trees become so large that little light gets to the forest floor. Undergrowth is required for small animal habitat to continue. Just like if the minnows have no food supply it affects the larger fish and so on. Before man got involved in the whole process forest fires were the loggers creating new growth. I know it isnt quite the same but its close. Two years after they log an area the forest comes alive with new fuzzy animals of all kinds. I dont advocate clear cutting but in my opinion managed forests are a good thing.
  6. Way to go Team 3 Fin-chasers! Great fishing folks, keep it going

  11. "Thanks again Bernie couldn't have asked for a better guy to put up with us..." Put up with you? Was not an issue at all with you fellas. Im just glad you had fun and were patient with me to find the fish-even if I needed a little assistance from my brother Mike. We have been trying to get Mike to join the board soon too. Now I can tell you all he is an avid fisherman!!! Thank you Bill, Corey and Gerritt for your kind words. But I enjoyed your company too, so thank you for that as well. BTW Corey, are your arms sore from hauling in that monster sheephead? lol
  12. I have access to pretty much any major brand of Batterys at my shop but prefer the Interstate. I dont care for doing paperwork on defective parts. Interstates have proved to be the most reliable brand for me to sell.
  13. Adventure? Sounds intriguing.
  14. Nice to see you posting a fishing report Chris. And this time a successful one.
  15. O WOW!! Is that fish real? Way to go Shawn! Beautiful.
  16. Gerritt cooking up a meal fit for hungry fishermen. Bill doing another fine job on the fish frying. The weather was great compared to last week. Gotta love those bent fishing rods.
  17. Corey couldnt wait for supper.
  18. What a great weekend we had! Weather was perfect, winds were light and the fishing was ok. But the best part was we had a lot of fun. Good times were had by all. Great to meet Gerritt,Corey and Bill, all super guys. We are definitely going to do it again!
  19. Princecraft makes a nice good quality boat. I have 300 hrs on my 175 Evinrude Ficht and no issues. A set of spark plugs and fuel filters, changes of gear lube is all that has ever been done. Great fuel economy and great power. Love mine!!.
  20. How do IDIOTS get into positions teaching our children and young people? GEEZ
  21. Hey Wayne. Congratulations to your daughter! Lots of effort to accomplish that. You take care and enjoy the summer. Hopefully get to see you at Lakair.
  22. Hey Cliff-Great stuff! You are for sure a thinking fisherman . Glad I mentioned the water temp thing last night.
  23. If you are travelling all this way Nipissing is the better lake by far. Nosbonsing isnt too far(about6-8 Miles) from Callander Bay so if you want to try both set up your stay in Callander and trailer over to Nosbonsing for a day trip.
  24. Hi again Blaque. I run an 18.5 Seaswirl with a 175 Evinrude. Just look for the roostertail.
