  1. Have about 4 or 5 glow colours (I will say glow because I cant spell lumescent )
  2. A small amount of powder paint will last a long time. Living in the north my supply is limited. The last time I bought some was 2 years ago at the fishing show. Perhaps some other folks on the board have seen it in their local fishing supply stores. Several different colours are available. Personally I like to start with a base coat of white or lumesent white and add the colour coat after.

  4. Powder paint is all I use. Takes a few tries to get it right but its the easiest and it outlasts paint. If you want lead tire shops will likely be glad to give you some. ....Bernie
  5. I just realized who Ken is. I drive by his place most every day in open water season. He runs a lodge in the south bay. Beautiful spot. Welcome to the board Ken. Glad to have a neighbor along with me.
  6. Yes Bob its still there..I keep forgetting about that. I will try to remember to take a pic of it for you.
  7. The 9.5 does not have the pee hole. Water should come out of the exhaust port, even before the thermostat opens fully. Change it anyway Kevin and make sure to check the lower unit for oil as well. If you need any help let me know. It will be very similar to the 6HP Kevin.
  8. Hi Kevin. I call those motors the "porta potty". I dont think the water pump is working. Water should be exiting with the exhaust through that hole. Water pumps are fairly easy to change on that one. Not a bad little engine but they were known for bad engine mounts which can be a pain to change. You shouldn't have to "jam" the throttle. It should work smoothly. Check to see if the throttle plate is opening fully. The indicator on the grip may not be accurate.
  9. Hi Mr Jr...the cedar boats at Lakair are the ones we build here. We like them too.
  10. Well done there Ubergeek!!!
  11. Coolb. Thank you for that. It is an interesting read.
  12. Mike the feeling was mutual. Thank you for taking the time to visit with me. You are a gentleman yourself and it was a pleasure to meet you. Glad you enjoyed the morning. Too bad we didnt have more time we could have made up some more jigs. The pictures you took at the boat shop turned out very well. Hope we can get together next time you are here and put those jigs to use.
  13. It's not hard to tell this is a fishing board. There are also people that like boats that don't fish. Looks like its a pretty thing anyway.
  14. Way to go, to brave the cold, persevere and catch some beauty fish Joey. :thumbsup_anim:
  15. Hey Tom....Great fishing, great report!! Glad to see you finally got a little shuteye. After being out on the ice for the day I dont know how you managed to stay up that long.
  16. Twice a year our Lions club does a cleanup along our piece of sponsored highway. Unbelievable the stuff that accumulates over a period of six months. Some of the stuff we clean up is absolutely gross . Timmies cups are the most common. People that get caught littering should be made to come out and help us for 10 consecutive years. Maybe that would make them think twice about dumping garbage!!!
  17. Look Jonaton....He said he was done. You stirred the pot again
  18. Heck Brian. You dont even have to wait for weekends up here in the summer. Its daylight till 10 pm.
  19. Welcome on Doug. You have a real good start with meeting the fine folk you did already on the creek.
  20. Geez Roy..I was working on bathroom reno's today too...Wonder what I'm gonna get later? That new prop sure looks nice!!!
  21. HOW TO TELL THE SEX OF A BIRD This Is AMAZING! Until now I never fully understood how to tell. The difference Between Male and Female Birds. I always thought it had to be determined surgically or that they were different colours. Until Now. Which of The Two Birds Is a Female? Below are Two Birds. Study them closely... See If You Can Spot Which of The Two Is The Female. * It can be done even by one with limited bird watching skills. * * * * * * * * * * * * Send this to all of the men you know, who could do with a good laugh and to all women who have a great sense of humor....
  22. I have used AVG antivirus for the past 3 years and no issues with it. It also happens to be free. Avg also has an antispyware that seems to work but after a month or so you need to update it manually. I operate behind a router and use Windows Defender-(also free..hmmm,maybe I am a cheap dude) I bought System Mechanic to do the clean ups and so far no complaints with it at all. It also has a system guard that does not seem to interfere with anything like Norton used to do to me. I HATED NORTON-slowed me down, always popping something or another up..And its a PITA to get rid of it after you dont want it anymore.
  23. I was too young for my grandfather to tell me anything about the time he spent at Vimy Ridge. My mother and aunts said he didnt talk much about it anyway. Very brutal place to be. I have a standing invitation to visit a relative in Belgium who lives near Flanders. Hope to be able to take him up on it someday and get a better understanding of what they went through.
  24. Well not quite the usual crew Glen..You weren't there
  25. Attaboy Cliff..You are really "catching" on to this aren't you.
