  1. If the noise is higher pitched and almost a clanging noise it's most likely a bad U Joint. Two piece driveshafts where the slip sleeve rides over the front section can also stick on the splines. Some have a grease fitting. Also run across leaf springs sticking on one another and when the body weight shifts they let go and make a racket.
  2. Drove my pickup across last Sunday Brian. Don't think I will even go with my ATV this weekend. Going to wait for the boat now.
  3. I figure 2 weeks and two days and Fish bay will be open on Nipissing. Week later and Hunters bay is open. The South River has started to thaw in places, some open water.
  4. I'd be more than happy to purchase a few dozen boxes of 12 guage shells for a cull shoot.
  5. O yes...... it can be worse
  6. If I was driving 40k per year and didn't really need it to do the job it was designed for, I'd choose something else. I agree they look cool, but in my experience the rough ride and sometimes questionable handling make them uncomfortable to drive.
  7. Burns my butt when they have a nice trillium embossed on the tag. Makes it look "Government". I wanted so much to kick his
  8. A few years ago I worked the boatshow. Charlie was working the same product and spent a few days working with him. He is a hardworking fellow willing to talk to all, even outside the booth. Genuine good guy. He would be a great guy to fish with for a day, has a great sense of humor.
  9. Thank you for your reply Crosshairs, it is appreciated.
  10. Hello Crosshairs. I appreciate your input. I am curious and have a question for you. I often hear and sometimes see the commercial boats out through the night out on the reefs in the South Bay. Why do they do this at night?
  11. I like this rule better than the previous slot. At least what you catch will have some meat on the fillets. I threw back small ones anyway. Didn't leave much to keep with the slot size.
  12. Nice! I like those last two Evinrudes. Can usually get those ones running fine. The other ones are too hard to get parts for.
  13. I have 4 Shimano spinning reels and one baitcast. The oldest has to be at least 20 years old and landed a lot of pickereyes. My latest one is probably 10 years old by now. The only problem I ever had with one was a roll pin that holds the spool sheared when hooking into a large slimey. Stopped in at a local shop (Sams Reel repair) and he fixed it right up. Nothing but good reviews from me.
  14. Years back before it became full time at a large company I wasn't entitled to benefits. Also easier to let a part timer loose.
  15. Pretty good game so far. Fast hockey!
  16. It's a long game ahead yet Will. Been a Leafs fan for way too long to count on a two goal lead.
  17. It is very sad to lose a buddy like that Lew. They have a way of attaching to your heart.
  18. Hey Brian, great summary of the weekend Too bad the weather wasn't sunny and warm like we should be getting this time of year. Maybe next time. I just finished off the smelts for supper tonight. Really good, been a long time since I have had any. Thanks!
  19. In my 12 mile drive to Nipissing it is common to count 60 deer in the early morning or evening. Most times it's not the one you see that will get you. Pay attention to the one that you can't see. Where there is one, there are usually more. I have so far avoided hitting one, must be my finely honed hunting skills . Seriously though, I have slowed my driving speeds down, often below the limit especially in the areas where they are more prevalent.
  20. Those are definitely some of the best fishing photos I have ever seen! Great photography! Well done!
  21. I rub my hands on the stainless steel sink in the kitchen. I find it works well.
  22. I will watch women's curling. O ya, and hockey.
  23. I have no access to Yamaha wiring diagrams Richyb. Not likely a computer controlled sled. I'd likely look at the lighting circuit for a source of power. Often the tail lamp is always powered.
  24. This is a question with a lot of variables. What kind of machine is it? Many of modern snowmobiles use computers to operate circuits. So you need to know for sure where you are getting your power. How many amps are the heaters going to use? You need to know if the circuit you are tapping into can handle the power needs. It's possible you may need to use a relay to power them up correctly.
