  1. I might be able to help with that.
  2. Well at least I now know what I was celebrating last night..... Happy belated old (yet younger than me) man.
  3. So am I building you a Rainbow rod or a Steelhead rod Brian, I need to know before I get started.
  4. Strange indeed Lew. Did you try connecting the 2 bare wires together to see if the horn sounded?
  5. Welcome aboard FB, I'm a bit of a float guy myself.
  6. And we need a new thread for this? Hello poachers, just a heads up.........
  7. Exactly! You can spend all day trying to straighten it out on the trailer when the transom is floating high above the trailer, in, out, in, out, in, out......
  8. Not something I've heard per say, just witnessed. Those who submerge their boat trailers so deep they spend gross amounts of time tying up the boat ramp trying to get the boat centered on the trailer.....
  9. I'll add to that "sensitive" comment Harrison in the form of the constant updates at the "Ganny" fish ladder, while it's certainly interesting to know it could have/should have waited till a later date IMO.
  10. Truly sad Mike and a poignant reminder that cold water indeed kills, quickly. Be safe everyone!
  11. Is there any way to see this without a Facebook account?
  12. I'm still stuck on your post of March 12th, almost 2 weeks after the walleye season closed there.
  13. I think not. Posted Mon. March 12th the OP stated he was looking for a fishing partener for walleye fishing in Caledonia, mistakenly believing that the walleye fishing season closed on Wed. March 15th. Given the lack of snow and ice as well as the green grass and the lack of warm clothing it would seem to fit well with the above quote. Even if I'm mistaken on all of the above this still applies!
  14. As I said being very familiar with the area the background in the fourth picture is the entrance to the fish ladder, the other pictures are from the same location just from a different angle. It's up to the angler to be aware of the regs, with or without signage.
  15. Knowing the area well I can still say that the above applies.
  16. as well as..... Fish within 22.9 (75ft.) downstream from the lower entrance to any fishway or canal, obstacle or any device designed to assist fish around an obstacle.
  17. Oooops, Sorry Brian I forgot that Zoey was out there, my bad.
  18. As my status says Brian, good to see you and the Mrs as well. But as for Zoey, well she wasn't here, that's Solo's dog. You saw Brook and she's okay with you, just liked your Mrs more.
  19. From the rules..... "Troublemakers will be warned and then if that doesn't work, placed on a Mod Queue" Consider yourself warned!
  20. The "dog leg" reel seat is definitely old school. Perhaps a compromise, fish it, catch one (or two) then retire it to a place of honour, that would certainly make it a conversational piece for years to come. What ever you decide it is of course your choice Paul, I just think it'd be a shame to break it, new rods can be had relatively cheaply, that one is irreplaceable.
