Without the auto pact and the high unemployment in the US I think that all auto plants in Ontario are living on borrowed time and we will see production shifted to the US or Mexico as Canadian plants age.

We have a pesticide ban where I live so we use a product named Weed-be- Gone. It kills weeds and leaves a small dark patch where the weed was. With a toddler rolling in the grass I would as you suggest study all products very carefully. It hasn't bothered our dog yet, but my youngest is 31 and doesn't roll on my lawn anymore.

It is so nice to read posts like the above proving that there still are kind, generous and caring people in our society. Thanks for raising my spirits!

I didn't know crappie came that large in Canada.

Perhaps someone dumped chemicals in the river during the summer, but then you would have expected someone to report on the die off.

They must have made a copy of the Visa card to be able to use it at a gas station where you don't enter your pin number. The fact that these crooks are wandering through our stores and malls with their RFID readers is truly disgusting.

In a perfect world everyone would want a job that they took pride in, however in our world we have those that commit crimes against individuals , banks , and the government. You are correct in saying that with a little effort these criminals could contribute to society instead of being a drain on the system.

Last week my wife had her bank access card and her Visa card compromised at the same time. We were informed about a fraudulent purchase on her Visa card moments after the purchase was made by the Visa fraud department and the card was immediately cancelled. She went to purchase an item at Home Hardware and her debit card was refused. At the bank there was a line up of people with compromised debit cards. They ,apparently had called but it is a long distance ring and we likely thought the call was from a telemarketer because no one responded when we said hello so we hung the phone up. the debit card was used at an ATM in the states where a pin likely isn't required. I think that my wife was a victim of someone with an RFID reader. These readers cannot read through metal so I folded up some tin foil and placed it in the outside pocket of my wallet and hers as well. I will also go to the Showcase store where they sell protective sleeves for credit cards and passports. You can see other products to protect yourself if you google Identity Strong. I'm posting this as a warning to members that this seems to be a growing problem so that you can protect yourself and avoid the hassle of getting new cards. Banks do replace any money stolen. The Visa was used at a gas station where a pin isn't required.

Oldest Son Graduates from Residency in the Air Force
Ralph Field replied to Billy Bob's topic in General Discussion
You and your wife have every right to be proud of your son's tremendous accomplishment and his posting at probably the best known military hospital in your nation. -
I was only there once on a canoe trip with a couple of friends. One friend Ray was suppose to know everything about canoeing, however he managed to steer the canoe into the bushes on every bend in a small river leading into the park. My other friend Ross, who was in the front of the canoe, wanted to stop at the end of the winding river after dealing with the bushes. It is the only canoe trip that I've been on but I will always look back on it fondly. We did have a few fish dinners but they weren't as memorable as some of the other situations that we found ourselves in.

You could buy them on line and print the licences before you come.

Those are truly magnificent looking brookies and well worth your effort to capture them.

I Tried For 2 Weeks To Buy North American NF
Ralph Field replied to bushart's topic in General Discussion
With the demise of the auto pact and the fact that wages in the U.S. auto sector are less than the Canadian wages it is only a matter of time before all Canadian auto plants will be closed. Many of the highest paying manufacturing jobs have already left and will never return and yet nothing seems to said by our political leaders to stem the flow of our best jobs. Perhaps we will be left with the fur trade which is certainly out of favor presently. -
This " problem" exists on all forums. There are some forums where people just sign up to be able to buy and sell in the classified section and never post their views, perhaps because they think that they are much better fishermen than the rest of us. Also lurking occurs on all boards and cannot be controlled. I always go back to view what people have said in threads where I have posted a reply as Roy said this is the point of the forum.

Another option, not yet mentioned, would be to look for someone with a garage in your area that no longer needs it for their car and willing to rent it out. My mother allowed a friend of mine to store his boat in her garage after I sold my boat which I stored their after she lost her driving licence due to age.

It sure would be nice to have London win Sunday. Austin must have a lot of bruises after blocking shot after shot.

The fireworks didn't seem to phase my dog, and I'm sure she isn't deaf but she may be stupid.

Excellent pictures ! I think that you will be taking pictures for the rest of your life.

I have used these for flies under a float. Whenever I have tried these with spoons I usually loose the spoon, but I buy the smallest size and perhaps the larger size will work for spoons.

My friend used to catch big crappie in the river that runs through the camp.

That is a nice looking bunch of crappie you fellows caught.

Nothing against Austin, but I think that Michael Houser should have been the MVP as he held them in every game. It is great to see them earn a birth in the Memorial Cup.

It is not hard to tell that you're proud of her accomplishments.
