If you were anchored I would be telling him to please move off to a safer distance.If you were BOTH drifting around at the mercy of wind and current I would MAKE a point of moving slightly out of the way the first time and then after that tell him it was HIS turn to move so that lines don't get crossed.You would be surprised how quickly people move off if you casually start talking to them about how they are doing when they are too close to your boat. vance

from my understanding the manufacturer OWNS the right to sell parts for their vehicles for 10 years.if this part was used on an older vehicle you might be able to get an after market one but I doubt it. vance

I got to drive 2010 Nissan over the same roads that I drive my 2010 GMC.after a 4 hour drive I was SHOCKED at the LOUSY gas mileage of the nissan and the fact that I had to slow down for some real curves an the highway that I always sail right on thru with my GMC. I know from experience that there are 2 kinds of hubs.One has to be TORQUED on to a certain ftlb to keep from spinning and those that just have to be tight enough to keep from coming off.I always seem to get it backwards :wallbash: vance

Your prop seals are designed to be in the water and COOLED by that water,if you are going down the 401 or any high way and your prop is spinning there is no cooling and friction will wear the seals out prematurely.I watched a tech spend 1/2 an hour buffing melted rubber off a prop shaft so he could install a new one. AND it wasn't mine vance

Years ago we used to buy old cars for cheap and drive them the rest of the way into the ground and then go get another one.we never fixed them as it was cheaper to get a new one than fix the old one.fond memories of some neat, well used cars and trucks come immediately to mind especially my Renault 4cv vance

The forward gear on mercury's work on a ratchet principle when you throttle down the boat is going faster than the prop and it will free wheel. With the boat out of the water put it in forward gear and by hand spin the prop backwards and you will hear your clicking,it is suppose to do that.When towing I always put the motor in reverse(no ratcheting) so the prop in the wind doesn't free wheel.I found this out from the dealer when I complained about the same thing. vance

I have been towing for 30 yrs without any kind of problem with tires.I believe in lots of air and lots of grease,the trailers on the side of the road with tire and axle problems are as far as I am concerned are caused by neglect and expecting your trailer to carry way more than it should.I have seen more bent axles than I care to and I don't mean the ones that are suppose to be curved,rubber streaks being left by an 8 inch tire on the 401 can only lead to trouble. vance

I was told when I bought my boat (riveted aluminum) that rollers would leave dents in the bottom panels between the braces especially if traveling on rough roads.It was also pointed out that the bunks or rollers had to support the transom and the rollers had to be dead on the transom to stop any buckling. vance

With the guard rails it was has to see the trailer but SPARKLY white Fords being pushed by engine less planes are hard to miss :rofl2: vance

A couple of hours ago I was driving south on 11 just out of North bay when I saw a large white Ford towing a flat bed trailer with a smallish float plane on it with out wings or motor and wrapped in plastic going north,and I thought I wonder if that was Irishfield vance
