  1. Sorry I asked the question. And for the reading impaired.....again, I didn't suggest no NF discussions.
  2. Hi Iron, thanks for the reply. I never suggested the NF content be eliminated. I only asked why it could not be separated. If there was a dedicated fishing section and it slowed down in February, so be it. I'm sure in July it would be busier and the winternet section would be quiet. I thought there was no harm in asking. I figured if I could go to 3 different areas within the classified section, adding one area for fishing on a fishing forum wouldn't be a stretch.
  3. I have to ask...does anyone else see the merit in having a forum under the Main Section that is actually for fishing?? Maybe it's just me but scrolling through the threads to looking for something interesting and remotely related to fishing is getting harder and harder. I mean no disrespect when I say, I don't care what your political views are, or if your dog likes to chase seagulls... I log on for the fishing. There's obviously a place for this stuff or it wouldn't be so repetitive, but maybe the powers at be could separate it?
  4. I heard they're filming Deliverance 2 up north this weekend...
  5. Well Lew since you brought it up... I didn't mention it because I'm a private type of guy, but 10 months ago my wife was diagnosed with cancer as well. She had her surgery four weeks after that and it's been an emotional rollercoaster since. She's here and the prognosis is good. It's a Christmas we wondered if she'd see back in February. So like you, I got my Christmas present already. Oh and as for her? She wears a new diamond ring as a daily reminder of how grateful her husband is.
  6. What is there to cry about? If it's cyclic, and it is, levels will be restored naturally and the low levels should be just as expected as high. I won't be posting signs if we have a mild winter or if we get too much snow. Low water on Gbay is a non-permanent inconvenience of boating there.
  7. I put a 2" leveling kit on my 2012 Silverado and switched to Nitto Grappler tires. I hate the factory "nose drop" look on p/u's so it was a must. Looks great and so glad I did it. I also drive a lot of in town and highway as well as tow the Ranger. I didn't want the truck lifted on all four corners, just leveled.
  8. Wait until next year and set up another trip...tell one Cuba, one Jamaica and the other Dominica Kidding...I'd certainly ask, calmly, why they did that. Even if there was a reason, it doesn't sound like they handled it right. Let us know though. I'm curious how it turns out.
  9. Beautiful truck, congratulations. You'll love driving full size. You're not going to post your mileage every week are you?? lol
  10. I agree as well. Some of the pics I see posted are simply ridiculous. When I see a bass and it's as long as half the guy is tall, I think its takes away from the picture and reduces credibility. I spend no time looking at long-arm pics.
  11. The sparks fly every year right after the first snowfall. It's a OFC phenomenon!
  12. What a horse. If he was a tournament angler as it appears, he caught and released a lot fish over the weeks, months or years previously. If he was going to keep a fish, this was the one. Good for him!
  13. I wonder who'll pick second behind the Oilers next year?
  14. The point of having foam is to provide an added element of safety in case that boat ever gets swamped. There's no way I'd be stuffing pool noodles or pop bottles into my boat. How about pool noodle lifejackets?Nope. Get a quality closed cell foam and install it as original factory. The placement and volume of foam is important to create level floation during times of being completely swamped. Too much in the bow for instance can push the heavy transom(motor, batteries, etc) down. Take your time and do it right.
  15. The kids always seemed to sleep better in the car. Or at least it seemed that way from the house.
  16. Oh boy Chris, our first kid almost killed us! Here's the process we used and it was great. Feed him a small serving of cereal 30 mins before bedtime. Breastfeed right at bedtime, beside the crib so he'll learn what's coming next. Put him to bed, and walk away. Get an egg timer ready! As soon as the crying starts, set it for 5 mins. You need a timer because 5 mins of hearing your baby cry will feel like 2 friggin hours and you or you wife will go in after 1 or 2 mins. If he's still crying after 5 mins, go in with a cool washcloth. Don't pick him up! Just wipe his face, tuck him in and let him know you're still there. Then, walk away again. Get the egg timer ready! Chris, my son was up every damn hour for months and months. We did this and he slept through the third night! It's hard as hell to hear them cry but they are training YOU to come when they cry. My son threw up the first night! They have some serious stanima! Pick a time like a Friday night when you can tackle it without worrying about getting up the. Next day for work. Remember, he's not starving to death, he's teaching you to come when you're called! Good luck!!
  17. There's only one cup and its sure as hell not going to a team from Ontario. Let the race to the bottom continue. Pesky Bluejackets.
  18. I think someone made a lot of money when they sold the "Do Not Call" list.
  19. I like your ask a question and answer it yourself writing style. You should start your own thread and talk to yourself. Maybe you'll believe your own "facts".
  20. This shooting is an absolute tragedy and my prayers go out to the victims and their families. This is not the first or the last. If anyone, American or Canadian, can defend the position of solving gun related homocide through the ownership and freedom of having more guns, there is little hope of a fix. If Sandy Hook didn't make people stop and say "Let's try a different way", nothing will. If highway fatalities climb, authorities implement controls. Speed limits, seat belts, graduated licensing, alcohol restrictions, etc. Everyone accepts these as common sense solutions to keep people safe. Mention gun control and listen to the stream of ridicules excuses by normally intelligent people. Canada is far from perfect but I love this country and I love the fact I never have to worry about some guy having a bad day and walking around with a concealed handgun. Even people on this site have expressed they would like the law changed to carry a gun. I hope you NEVER EVER get that right. You do have the right to move to Oregon however.
  21. Unfortunately, that's more of a history lesson than a prediction.
  22. Takes a lot of balls and knowledge to predict that Kessel will score more goals playing for the Pens with Crosby vs. The Leafs. LOL!!!
  23. Yeah, just like the 50 he got last year without Crosby
