  1. LOL Lew... you aint kiddin! My 8 and 10 year old kids found some old cassette tapes the other day and had no idea what they were... They also found an old rotary phone I've kept around and couldn't figure out all the wires were for!LMAO HH
  2. Get enough of 'em and you could make a hat! HH
  3. Thanks guys... I have no plans to toss them out, but I also don't really want to store them for the next 25 to 50 years! LOL Just trying to find out if they are worth something to someone... Thanks for the link Old Man... HH
  4. Hey guys, Long story short, I just inherited a box of old 78 slate style records... mostly big band era stuff... Anyone know anything about them. Is there value in them and if so, who would/should I connect with? I have no use for them personally... Thanks! HH
  5. Three eyed Simpson's fish near where I live... Pickering Nuke Plant... I agree with you, but I am but one man and have little influence on the ways of the world... HH
  6. Dan's not longer a MPP, he was not re-elected. Buy stocks in oil companies... HH
  7. What you end up with is bass/pike/musky bait! HH
  8. Huge loss for the bass playing as well as musical community. The man was a legend and influenced so many players... at least he died doing what he loved... just finished playing two shows in Japan and passed away. RIP Duck! Here's a link to the Duck... he's the dude with the pipe, for those that don't know... laying down the groove the John and Dan! HH
  9. Nice big Gar! I've only caught them in the 2-3 ft range... care to comment on their fighting ability? Interested to know if the bigger one's put up more of a tussle then the small one's I've caught. Thanks, HH
  10. Emil, try this... As I know you have kids, you probably have some of those fruit roll ups that kids like as a snack. Take a piece of the roll up and roll it in your fingers until it gets soft. Jam it onto the business end of the trap and set the trap. Mice love this stuff and it will harden soon after the heat of your fingers is gone. They will actually tug on the fruit rollup to get it off the trap. It also emits a pungent fruit odor that they can't resist... and it can be used over and over as the little buggers can't get it off the trap. HH
  11. Just wanted to say many thanks to Fishnsled and Phil for coming out on Saturday night... it was a good time! The bar wants us back and we were scouted by another bar and asked to play! This "hobby" is beginning to take on a life of it's own! Thanks again guys... HH
  12. That's pretty cool Bernie! Hopefully it'll still be around in a couple of weeks... I believe that we are stopping by the shop on the way up. Uhmm... where would they get the water for the steam? HH
  13. The cheques in the mail for both you guys! I believe that 10% is about the right rate for such quality advertising... might be enough to get a beer! Or, alternatively, you two could share one! Thanks again guys! HH
  14. Thanks Will! If our last gig is any indication of what's to come, it should be a pretty good time! We're all aout the "chicks and dough"! LOL Band hits "the stage" at 9:30... HH
  15. I voted for the Chinese food restaurant! Done! HH
  16. Probably not as the folks who are against such things probably weren't gonna vote for him anyway... I doubt that the decision was made off the cuff... HH
  17. Excellent response Lota... I couldn't agree with you more! HH
  18. Exactly John... I beleive that police presence on the highway has a much bigger foot print on people, than standing on an off ramp. A cruiser gets attention and that could mean that the knuckle head doing, 140 weaving in and out of traffic will take notice and change their ways. Admittedly, if only for a short time. HH
  19. Yah Bill, I would... I would rather they patrol the highway looking for folks who are driving poorly, then wasting resouces catching folks at on ramps and off ramps... HH
  20. So we are essentialy chasing our tail... two things come to mind... Can the resources close to our major centers sustain these numbers of catches? Given the number of new arrivals annually, let's say within the GTA, we will never see an end to this kind of thing. Sure 2nd and 3rd generation folks start to see the light, but new arrivals will simply follow their traditions... the fish are gonna take a beating. The only solution to this problem I can see is enforcement, enforcement enforcement... it only really hits home when it hits the wallet. HH
  21. Got off the 401 at Brock in Pickering the other day and there was a cop waiting on the off ramp, no disguise, watching for people on their phone while driving. There was another one on the other side of the 401 checking people as they were heading onto the 401. I have to agree with others who have said this is simply a tax grab. No, I do not like having some numb skull in front of me texting away, but I would rather see the authorities catch someone for wreckless/bad driving while on the phone, than someone simply on the phone... HH
  22. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! HH
  23. Happy B-Day you ole bugger! HH
  24. Some may argue about the "get wet" part. And I'll bump up the earlier response... gloves are for girls.Reminds me of a guy that was up for one of our Bernie gtg... dude refused to go fishing in the morning until he had his shower! And, he wore gloves when putting a worm on his jig! HH
