You got that right Jen! I'm sure that my agents efforts went beyond the call of duty and it paid off for us BIG TIME! For those considering selling their home, I'd recommend you find an agent that stages their listings, it make a huge difference in the number of offers as well as the ultimate selling price! HH

Unfortunately Wayne, that $50k is headed right toward the new mortgage!!!!! Just means a few less years of payments! Thanks for the kind words folks! :clapping: HH

As some of you may remember, I bought a house in late March, the house we had been looking for for quite some time! Well, with the closing date on the new house being 3 months away, I took the time to really work on my house and in conjunction with my real estate agent, we got my current house lookin sharp! My agent had us remove much of our furniture and for lack of a better term, clutter! She then brought in her own furniture and accessories and the house looked fantastic! We had well over 150 people through the house during the open houses on Saturday and Sunday and last night we were accepting offers. We had nine offers to choose from and ended up selling it for $50k over asking! Needless to say, my wife , my self and our family and friends are very happy and very much lookin forward to moving into our new home at the end of June! Thanks to all for the kind words during this time! OFC pool party in August! HH

My faith in governments and their willingness and or desire to do the right thing, ecconomically and for the future of the resource is very very limited. Considering that is my initial point of reference, I'd suggest that this is a really bad idea that will only serve to reduce the bulge in our wallets! Can you say gun registry? When it comes to government involvement, less is always best! Fund what we have in place now and then we will see what the future brings. HH

Congrats Tony! I know what your going through! My house just went on the market on Tuesday and it has been crazy around here! People everywhere... no I'm not complaining! Now the real important question that hasn't been answered... does the boat fit in the garage?! HH

An American history writer was traveling through Mexico, doing research on a new book he was planning to write. Through his exhaustive, due diligence, he learned about a modern day bandito, still roaming the vast Mexican wilderness. He decided to pursue this lead, to gain more information for his book. His travels took him to some very remote parts of the country, but to no avail. As he had been traveling for some time, he decided to stop at a small cantina, for a quick drink and perhaps, to connect with some locals who might be able to provide him with more information. He approached a local and discussed his situation and asked for any help he could provide. The following is the result of his chat. Writer; “I’m writing a book about Mexico’s bandits and I was wondering if you knew anything about the bandito “Two guns, with two guns”?” Local: “Ah yes, the world famous bandito, “two guns with two guns”. As a matter of fact, just the other day I was riding my burrow, just outside of town, when from behind a rock, emerged the world famous bandito, two guns with two guns!” Writer: “What happened?” Local: He told me to get off my burrow, I did not want to get off my burrow, but what could I do, two guns had two guns and (pointing to himself) no guns had no guns, so I got off my burrow. Writer: “What happened next?” Local: “He told me to drop my drawers!” I did not want to drop my drawers, but what could I do, two guns had two guns and no guns had no guns, so I dropped my drawers! Writer: “What happened next?” Local: “He told me to poop! I did not want to poop, but what could I do, two guns had two guns and no guns had no guns, so I pooped!” Writer, now intrigued, “What happened next”? Local: “ he told me to eat the poop! I did NOT want to eat the poop, but what could I do, two guns had two guns and no guns had no guns, so I ate the poop! Writer: “Oh my goodness, what happened next?” Local: “As I was eating the poop, Two Guns started laughing and laughing, so much so that he dropped his guns on the ground, so I grabbed them! Now two guns had no guns and no guns had two guns! Writer: “What happened next?” Local: “ I told him to drop his drawers. He did not want to drop his drawers, but what could he do, no guns had two guns and two guns had no guns, so he dropped his drawers. I told him to poop! He did not want to poop, but what could he do, no guns had two guns and two guns had no guns… so he pooped! I told him to eat the poop! Now, he did not want to eat the poop, but what could he do, no guns had two guns and two guns had no guns, so he ate the poop! Now, you ask me if I know the world famous bandito Two guns with two guns?..... I had lunch with him yesterday! HH

If the garage will hold your boat and you love the house, either get the vendor to clean it up, or lower your offer and do it yourself. But make sure the boat fits first! HH

I only met one of my grandfathers, once in my life time. You are fortunate to have had the time with him and you have my sincere condolences. Congrats on 25 years, she must be a saint! HH

Great stuff! Always nice to see someone catch something so close to where I live! Congrats! HH

My advise would be to find a locking mechanism for it, or take it off the motor after every outing and place it under your pillow for safe keeping. They are easily stolen and very much a marketable commodity. Oh, and you'll love the performance you'll get from it! HH

There is a huge nesting population living on a and destroying the Leslie Spit. Probably the same flock you saw. They are always out on the hunt for food and nesting material. Kill 'em, kill'em all! HH

We used to catch them by the garbage bag full off of the Port Stanley pier. We'd use scissors to cut off the head, a quick slice up the gut, thumb through the cavity to pull the guts out. A little flour, some hot Lard a sprinkle of Kosher salt and your good to go! HH

I'd expect to use up on heck of alot of Ketchup! HH

I agree Polliwogg, but what I do have a problem with is the poisoning of innocent people who like the taste of Pickeral and buy it from a store, with the assumption that the fish has been properly checked by the apporpriate government agency! I don't suppose the restaurants or grocery folks are marking their fish displays with warnings not to order or purchase pickeral fillets if your pregnant or under a certain age! HH

Do their "rights" allow them to net the rivers as well? I'm wondering if these folks are keeping the fish for personal consumption or are they making it to the cities, unregulated and illegally? If it is the latter, who's jurisdiction would law enforcement be? OPP, native police or the MNR? I don't have a problem with them spearing if it's within their rights, but they should not be profitting financially from the raping of the resource. HH

I have to agree with Outdoorguy regarding Jasper. I hired a guide from Curries (I think!) with a coupla other guys, when I was out there 5 or 6 years ago. Far too many options to fish without a guide in such a short period of time. We trolled for Pike with fly rods from one of those huge canoe's and an electric. Seems most of the lakes in the Jasper area are no gas engines. The guys who I booked with were not die hard fisherman, so the guide decided to take us to an easy lake to fish. Personally, I'd have preferred to fish a back lake for Trout, but was not the day for that! One word of advice when bookin the guide. Make sure that the guide understands that you are an experienced fisherman and that physical challenges and bad weather will not affect your desire or ability to fish for the day. Many times, these guides get rookies to take out and will not always put you onto the best spot, but the easiest for novices. Don't know the regs out there either, we were there late July/early August and I believe everything was open then. ALso, be prepared for very drastic weather changes, very quickly! The day before I went out, it was an unheard of for those parts 33 degrees C! Next day, it snowed... That being the day we went out fishin! Good luck! HH

Sweet ride Roger! That boat screams Quinte with that nice deep hull! No excuses this fall! HH

I'd stay away from the reef fishin and book a deep sea excursion. My experience in the Carribean "reef" fishin was a small boat, out a few hundred yards from shore, lousy equipment and dinky little reef fish. If your down there, spend a few extra bucks and get out onto the big water for REAL fish! HH

Get well soon Gary... although it sounds like your on the right path to recovery! Bass season is still a ways off, so rest up and you'll be boatin them soon enough! HH

I post all my spool's line weight and capacity on my own private web site, which I can access through my "Crackberry" virtually anywhere in southern Ontario. When I need to change up, I consult the all knowing "crack" and pick accordingly from my selection within my dedicated spool box! Ok, now really, I don't have a system. If I'm not sure, I just re-spool! HH

"The Pod" stores hundreds of guitar, amp and effect sounds digitally and can be programmed for live gigs or the studio. I beleive it has 20 Marshall sounds (or more), actually every manufacturer I've ever heard of has been sampled (Something like 40 Mesa Boogie sounds, or you can mix up a Fender power head with a HIWATT cabinet, for example). Same with guitars, when for one song you want a single coil, say Strat sound, then you want a Les Paul sound etc... . Pretty cool device and really not that expensive I believe. HH

Thanks Mike! That will certainly say me some installation time! LOL Joey! Cheers all! HH
