  1. Really glad it ended the way it did... man, having been out on Erie, an equally far distance from sanctuary, I can only imagine what was going through your head. Adding your two year old into the equation is something I don't even want to consider. Thanks for the story and again, glad it didn't end worse. HH
  2. Mikey, I have that Fenwich rod you mentioned, I picked it up last fall for chuckin spoons. I like and have no problems with it. HH
  3. Interesting read there... why does it seem that anyone who encounters this C.O. has to some degree, felt that their rights have been trampled? Is this guy a lone wolf solving the world's problems? Is it that he's located in such a remote area that he feels he can and will do what ever he wants? I have seen far too many examples of his "approach" to his job here, that lead me to believe that someone in a position of power, needs to clip this guy's wings. Don't get me wrong, I do want him to do his job and protect the resource, but not at the expense of our rights! They are more important than the resource IMHO. HH
  4. You bet Gerritt! We'll connect next week to work something out! I've got a few ideas! HH
  5. Escaped the house last evening for a few hours of Cleo chuckin. Arrived at the pier at about 8:15, only two other fisher folks there. Tossed Mr Cleo for a couple of hours, he's very clean now, however, he is also un-marked! No bumps, no fish spotted jumpin and no fish observed being caught. Alas, no pic either! Left at around 10:30... will giver a go again on the weekend. Perhaps try another pier? HH
  6. Again, great shots 007! RE the bear... if you wanted to see more, visit the dump just outside of Killarney... the kids love watchin them! HH
  7. Thanks for the report! I think any of us who have experienced the spooling factor, know that sound intimately! LOL HH
  8. Great report and pics! Having spent some time in that area, I can say that you did an excellent job of capturing some of the beauty of that area. I knew you'd enjoy the School bus fish n chips! Lookin forward to part 2 as well! HH
  9. I'd say there is some pretty good advice for you here, from the "peanut Gallery" HH
  10. Sounds like you were fishin "Clown Lake"! LOL Thanks for the laugh, it was a good read. HH
  11. By no means an expert in this sort of thing, but I understand that employees are fairly low on the list of who gets paid out first, in bankruptcy situations. If I were you. I'd concentrate on securing future employment and wait out the year or two it will take to find out if you are in line for any funds. If you do see some money, consider it a bonus! Also, if you are a union employee, than the union should be working on your behalf to get it's membership everything thye are due... let the union spend money on lawyers. Sorry for your circumstances... I'm sure all will end up well! HH
  12. Picasa is simple, easy to use and free! I like it! HH
  13. Congrats guys! That's really a sweet Brownie! HH
  14. Thanks FishnSled... Appreciate it! HH
  15. CLiff... I left out the Marijuana Party because I don't think they exist any more. That or they are all out gettin munchies some where!LOL HH
  16. I had every intention of voting for the PC's, simply due to my disgust for Dalton and his boys! However, I now find myself in a real challenging position as I simply cannot vote for anyone who wants to fund religious based schools, with public money. IMHO- we should not fund any faith based schools, and yes I do also mean the Catholic School boards as well. As this county becomes more and more ethnically diverse, we do need some kind of glue to hold us together, and separating our children based on religion is not the solution. Thant leaves me with the choices of NDP or Green and that's why I'm having a really hard time! Rhino's anyone!?LOL HH
  17. There are few days that everyone can remember where they were when something happened... this is one. My thoughts to all who died and survived this terrible day. HH
  18. Man, that is a sweet coho! Congrats! HH
  19. Don't want to be argumentative JB, but there will have to be quite a few over loaded boats out there to clear out all the pan fish in just about any lake. And pan-fish do relate to shore lines, but mostly, they relate to their food, regardless of where it is on the lake. Like I said earlier, I'd rather folks get their "fill" of pan fish, then other game fish who's numbers can't afford over harvesting. HH
  20. Thanks for un-complicating my convoluted post douG! HH
  21. :D HH
  22. Here's another thing to consider with respect to your drag. The tension on the spool changes significantly based on the amount of line on the spool at the time. For instance, if you set your drag before you cast out 150ft of line, the amount of strength required to pull out drag will be X, but the amount of strength to pull out the drag with 150ft of line out will be significantly different. Remember, with line out, the spool becomes "smaller" and therefore requires more pull, to get the drag to release! Man, I don't know if I made any sense there!LOL HH
  23. Thanks for that Cliff! Guess my "little" 12 lber I caught last weekend wasn't that big after all! HH
  24. Just wondering how big do Coho get, specifically in Lake O.? What's considered at trophy and what's a good one? Thanks all! HH
