Hey Rich it was great to meet you again and of course Patsy and the girls. Barbara and I were about even for the 5 days, neither one of us did very well. I think that you may be reading between the wrong lines there Clamp-It. Most of the affluent higher end cottagers could care less about 50 cents more a litre. It's the cottagers who's place has been in the family for many years or even generations and huge increase in taxes along with the additional fuel costs have pushed them to the limit and beyond. They are the one's who's property will come on the market first. it is very quickly becoming a buyers market.

It's reports like this that make it all worthwhile. Seeing three generations, Dawson, Marty and Ed all enjoying themselves was a sight to behold. Hope that Dawson told his Mom how many fish Daddy caught....... Little worried there about him being coached by the 'bama pyromaniac though....

Very well said Rick, not much that I can add to those words. Although I have been around for 4 or 5 "Lakairs", this year was the first for my wife Barbara. I was a little reluctant at first when she said that she wanted to come, however she had a blast and can't wait for more.....

Glad you are feeling better Art. I had a touch of 'pine pollen" rash on Friday night but it cleared right up by Sunday.

As Roy said get a copy of his birth certificate notarized from your legal council.... In a change from earlier plans, U.S. and Canadian citizens ages 15 or younger with parental consent will be allowed to cross the borders at land and sea entry points with certified copies of their birth certificates rather than passports. U.S. and Canadian citizens ages 16 through 18 traveling with school, religious, cultural or athletic groups and under adult supervision will also be allowed to travel with only their birth certificates. June 12, 2008 The Hamilton Spectator If you're headed to Turkey Point Provincial Park anytime soon, pull out the DEET bug repellent. Researchers have found Lyme bacterium in ticks within the park. The bacterium was also found in ticks in neighbouring St. Williams Crown Forest. Lyme disease develops into a debilitating viral illness if left untreated, with symptoms such as headache, fatigue and muscle aches. Visitors and park staff should use DEET as a tick repellent, says the Lyme Disease Association of Ontario. After a park outing, people should do a full-body tick check. Anyone infected with the bacterium from a tick bite may develop a homogenous or bull's-eye rash. Both rashes expand in size and disappear as the bacterium disperses within the body. So sorry to hear about your Mom. I have been through it three times in the past two years, both my parents died from lung disease and my daughter is a cancer survivor. The only piece of advice that I can offer is to spend as much quality time with her as you can. Each day that passes you can never get back. My thoughts are with you..... I generally don't offer much advice on the marital front because there is always a high probability of being wrong. However, if there is one small thing that that worked for us for 34 years, through two kids and 5 grandkids, it is compromise. Barbara and I have very different ideas about a lot of things, but we recognise that and make allowances for it. I think that you need to determine first how you both feel about each other and whether the right reasons were there in the first place. If they weren't, then the solution is obvious and at your age and the fact that there are no kids involved things should be fairly simple as long as you both focus on the solution and not on screwing each other. If by some chance there is love to be salvaged then personally I would do whatever is necessary to try to work out whatever has changed between you.
