  1. Welcome aboard. Great intro and photo's.
  2. Amazing beauty Dan. We "Southerners" tend to forget what an incredibly scenic country we live in!
  3. Steve, I'm not real big on extended warranties either. They are usually expensive and have a list of items that are not covered or "may" not be covered, as long as your arm. Bear in mind that most, (Sears, Future Shop and the Auto Makers), make more money selling warranties than they do on the products themselves.
  4. Great job Jim. Awesome fish!
  5. Brian, I only have two words for you.................... "nice one"
  6. Thanks, I will look out for them..
  7. Use the search option at the bottom of this page. Put in custom canvas and there will be lots of results. Using domes or clips was the way that I wanted to go on my Princecraft but a custom cover was close to $1000, quote was similar from two places. I have ordered a custom cover from boatcovers.com for less than $400 US. If you want the info on the two companies that I tried PM me and I will dig out the quotes.
  8. This thread comes up once in while, here you go. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...p;hl=boat+cover http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...hl=custom+cover http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...hl=custom+cover http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...hl=custom+cover http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...hl=custom+cover
  9. Hi Sandman, I have just gone through this. This place came highly recommended. www.boatcovers.com
  10. Something to do with the shape of his nose Phil.....
  11. I feel your pain John. I have a 53" chest and a 40" waist. Very little fits me as is. Usually get much better choice and style in my size in the US.
  12. Congrat's Gary, she looks like a wonderful friend.
  13. I think that whether we drive Ford, GM, Chrysler, or even up until recent years imports, some of us can relate similar stories.
  14. Welcome yo_guy, great intro! You have more fishing reports on one thread than I have managed in the past 4 years! Congrat's!
  15. Welcome Bryan, SWMBO and the Mutt.........hope you like it here. There are lots of Toronto waterfront fisherman here who can give you good advice.
  16. Oops, I meant to say some of the small units are 2 cycle...
  17. Certainly lights, probably a small RV fridge, lap top, charge cell phone etc. Add the the power requirements of what you want to run. Bear in mind that cheap is usually noisy, quiet is expensive. Some of the some units are also 2 cycle.
  18. I am definitely what you would call a larger guy Victor, not so much in my gut but in my chest. When I try one of those universal fit things on it reminds me of the little guy on the movie Christmas Story when his mother stuffs him into a snowsuit and he can't put his arm down! (You need to see the movie to appreciate the humour). J...
  19. Thanks Brian, prob is I need a couple of extra extra fat. This universal "one size fits no-one" is for the birds. I may break down and visit BPS this weekend.
  20. Not sure Marko, but this was at the Ancaster store.
  21. Great advice Joe. I had something very similar going with my daughter in her early teens. It's amazing how you look back and realize just how much "small stuff" we really sweated unnecessarily.
  22. Well, I stopped in Walmart at lunch to see if I could pick up a couple of spare life vests. No luck on the vests but they had Shimano Stimula rods for $19.97 each. They had both 6'6" and 7'0" medium power fast action. Picked up a 7'0' as a spare. I figured they were a great price for a decent entry level rod.
  23. Sorry cb but this is absolute bollocks! I bit my fingernails raw until my mid teens. I was so embarrased when I started dating I stopped. I agree with Twilight that the reward system works much better than the punishment. How about quitting as a family? If I can do it you can do it approach?
  24. Amazing shots Roy. I have only ever seen them from shore. They are pretty unusual up here, more a tropical phenomenon.
  25. Nothing like a thick Atlantic cod fillet. A close second cold water northern pike, walleye, perch... Not much into the 'new species' that the supermarkets are retailing.
