I don't think that I would have though to that. https://ca.screen.yahoo.com/worst-driving-videos/man-builds-device-reverse-broken-233622171.html

I have good luck with the EnerStart (formerly Energizer) batteries from Walmart. Others have posted good things here about them as well.

If you are buying used; a 2 stroke will be lighter. If you are buying new I would look at the motors designed for sail boats. These are designed to push a larger boat at slow speed rather than put a car topper on plain. A purpose built kicker motor would be ideal; but they are usually at least 9.9 hp. A kicker motor plus I-Pilot should give you great control; especially if you ever fish by your self. That is what I eventually hope to have. I am hoping to get the kicker this year.

These numbers are particularly impressive considering that he spent six seasons in the WHA. If he had spent his entire career in the NHL he would probably still be the number one scorer.

What exactly is your question? Are you trying to determine how much horsepower you will need? Shaft length? How to mount it? Brand suggestions?

They still have another three months or so to go before they close. The good stuff isn't going to be too deeply discounted yet. If you get something for 80% off; it will be because they couldn't sell it at 70% off.

Most of the complaints that I was referring to are about the quality of the show itself. Not about the politics between the two shows; that would be a different discussion. It just seems that there are a lot of people who say to attend the Spring Fishing Show because the Sportsman Show is so bad. But, honestly, I don't think that the Spring Fishing & Boat show offers anything that the Sportsman Show doesn't. I would actually think the Sportsman Show has a few more attractions. The only advantages that I can see for the Spring show are free parking and a more convenient location for some people. And location wise, some people may find the Sportsman Show more convenient.

There are rumors of a Gardiner for Yakupov trade.

I am still waiting for an official press release; but it looks like it will just be commercial fishing that will be banned in the park. The only commercial fishing that may occur on the Rouge would the harvest of minnows for resale. I am not sure if this currently occurs on the Rouge. Some of the rivers in the GTA do have some commercial bait fisherman harvesting minnows.

Actually, it opened yesterday. I have been down at the TUFA (Toronto Urban Fishing Ambassadors) for the last couple of days. I don't think the Spring Fishing and Boat Show will have any more to offer than the Toronto Sportsman Show. Most of the exhibitors will probably be doing both shows. It is not the show that it used to be; but the Spring Fishing and Boat Show isn't the show that Toronto Sportsman Show used to be either. There is not as many tackle dealers as there have been in the past. Tightlines and Rerries who have always had booths in the past are no longer in business. Overall, I think that Walmart, Canadian Tire, Sail, Bass Pro, and on-line retailers have picked up a lot of tackle sales that used to come from small tackle suppliers. And these guys don't have booths at the shows. There just aren't as many tackle shops around, and many of the smaller shops don't attend the shows. There are not nearly as many outfitters as there were in the past. I think they get their business from the internet now. If you attend both shows I am sure that you will be seeing a lot of the same exhibits. I was the the Spring Fishing and Boat Show last year. I don't think it offered any more than the Sportsman Show offers; I would actually say it had less. So, I am not sure why there is so much hostility directed specifically at the Toronto Sportsman Show. Overall, I still enjoyed the show even though it wasn't what it was in the eighties. I hope to get out to the other show next week as well; so maybe I will be able to compare the two.

Tiger muskies don't usually reproduce anyway. So most of the arguments for not keeping muskies don't really apply to tigers. Although I think they do have the same size limits as a pure muskie.

A road legal version would be cool too. http://www.tetra-pod.net/

my new snowmobile, I mean ATV, (it will be fishing)

Nice work. I assume that you started with a two wheel drive machine? If it was four wheel drive those skis on the front may not work quire as well as you hope. -
They didn't buy a Canadian company. Zellers was being shut down regardless of whether Target came here or not. Target just took over some of the leases for locations that Zellers was vacating. It is sad that people are losing their jobs; but those jobs would not have existed in the first place if Target hadn't expanded into Canada. Some of the those people who are losing their job may never have had one to begin with if is wasn't for Target.

I think it is the other way around. Four stroke is the only option in those small motors. In the larger sizes you can get either four stroke or an E-Tec / Optimax type two stroke. I don't think they are allowed to make the old school two strokes anymore.
-
There are people who prefer 2 strokes for their light weight and low end torque. When I take my boat to the marina, the serviceman always mentions my motor and says that I could get a lot of money for it because they don't make them anymore.

I fished it once. I fished from shore at Grandview. I caught pike and small mouth. I didn't have a boat so I don't know much about the lake.

It still hurts them. If they have to write off $100,000; that will reduce their tax bill by $30,000 or so. They will still be out pocket for the difference. The tax write off may take some of the sting out of it, but the suppliers would much rather collect the money than get the write off. If lost your job then you would pay less tax... but you would still have less money than when you had a job.
-
That's what I was thinking. If it was under a $100 it would be an cheap alternative to a regular sonar. For $300 I would rather buy a portable graph.

Or going to Canadian Tire or Walmart for minnows. I think a lot of members like to support the small stores. It does get mentioned occasionally in posts.

Camping idea for pick up truck owners
John Bacon replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
Maybe I'll get this one if my next vehicle is a truck. http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cRDaZRfhwqI/UbGr01yTCuI/AAAAAAAADVg/WMgDo21rr1w/s1600/P4010017.jpg&imgrefurl=http://handmadematt.blogspot.com/2013/06/demountable-camper-van-4-x-4-pick-up.html&h=480&w=640&tbnid=0Ib_gC_72XjYhM:&zoom=1&docid=Y9t9snx-QS8iOM&ei=1D3OVNj9I5bIsAThr4HoBw&tbm=isch&ved=0CCoQMygNMA0 -
Actually, I am not convinced that economic feasibility plays a large part in the decision making by the Ontario Liberals. It is more likely that they felt that they would have lost votes if they built them. That is why the ones along the Lake Ontario shoreline were cancelled; despite McGuinty's promise not to listen to the NIMBY people. I wonder if these ones are practical. They look nicer, I am sure what the cost/benefit it. http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/21/tech/wind-tree-arbre-a-vent/index.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+rss%2Fedition_technology+%28RSS%3A+Technology%29

This is how a real man plants a garden... unless he lives in a city with no discharge law http://laughingsquid.com/flower-shell-lets-you-plant-seeds-with-a-12-gauge-shotgun/

Has anyone else heard of these? I wonder of they will serve as structure for the salmon. If so, I hope they don't puncture too easily. This would have made more sense if they had built the wind mills along the shore line that had previously been studied. I don't think they will be getting a lot of renewable energy down town. There is one wind mill by the Ex and one in Pickering. http://business.financialpost.com/2015/01/30/how-one-company-plans-to-store-wind-energy-in-giant-balloons-under-lake-ontario/?__lsa=1e12-1ac5
