  2. According to the artical they do not need to use antibiotics. I am not sure about growth hormones.
  3. Nova Scotia salmon farmed on land brought to market https://ca.news.yahoo.com/nova-scotia-salmon-farmed-land-091500667.html
  4. You also have to consider paper work in addition to the costs. E.g. certificate of origin to indicate where it was manufactured. That can be tricky for a used item.
  5. It could be used to pay down the $600 billion in debt owed by the federal government. This would reduce interest payments and in the long term allow the government to provide more services without increasing taxes. The money is owed to many different people. E.g. anyone who owns Canada Savings Bonds owns part of the $600 billion in debt. Treasury bills are another form of debt used by the government. p.s. If you like governments that spend more than they bring in then you should be happy with the past performance of Harper
  6. Who would set immigration policies if the government does not have a say in immigration? I am not anti-immigration. I just cannot immagine the government not have a say in Canada's immigration policies.
  7. Yes, screening them may not be a bad idea. http://www.infowars.com/it-begins-europe-flooded-with-reports-of-isis-terrorists-posing-as-refugees/
  8. If you are running three or four dipseys than you need to run one inside of another buy running one on a '1' setting. I guess if you wanted to run five you could run one straight back at '0'.
  9. There is a 10km speed limit within 30 metres of shore. However, if I remember correctly there is an exeption if the channel is less than 60 metres wide. Regardless, boaters are responsible for any damage caused by their wake. But, you have to be able to prove that they caused damage.
  10. About six feet on the east side on the bay end of the channel. It is shallower on the west side; that is why the channel markers on the east side of the channel. It drops to about twelve feet as you move closer to the lake. This is all new habitat. The piers were built in the last couple of years and the channel was dredged.
  11. Walleye would be a long shot. There are very few of them anywhere around there. I am sure that there are few walleye in there from time to time; but I would bother targeting them? I think that you would have a much better chance at a small mouth or even a trout. Will you be fishing from shore or a boat? I used to see people fishing the rock piles around the two outer channel markers from boats. That area is accessible from shore now. Do you fish the bay very often? That is usually where I launch my boat.
  12. There has been a lot of cross breeding with wolves, coyotes, and dogs. Most of the eastern coyotes have some wolf DNA in them. That is why they are bigger than their western cousins. Wolves are believe to have cross bread with dogs that the first nations people brought with them to North America. Some wolves are black; the black colouring is inherited from dogs.
  13. Chinooks should still be available for at least part of October. The egg collection for Chinook is done in October, usually around Thanksgiving. I don't think I would be keeping any for the table at that point, but they will be there.
  14. They lost four in row before last night.
  15. KC lost four in a row. A nice winning streak can put them first in the league.
  16. They are usually fairly deep; but not limited to just the blue zone. If you are fishing a shallow bay you probably will not see them.
  17. It looked green, so I guess it wasn't a speed limit marker.
  18. The zebra muscles may have influenced the change as well. Increasing water clarity will favour some species over others.
  19. Thanks, it is fine once it is out of park.
  20. Don't milkweed and wild rice grow in different areas? I.e. milkweed grows on land while wild rice grows in water?
  21. Jays still making changes: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-claim-dominguez-1.3217650
  22. Not a significant incline. My drive way has a much greater incline than where I was parked the two times that it did happen.
  23. I drive a GMC Jimmy. Yesterday, I had a really tough time getting the shifter out of park a couple of times. It is an automatic shift on the centre consol. Once I was able to get it in gear the transmission worked fine. I know that there a few mechanics on the board. I want to get this looked at so that I don't get stranded somewhere; like a boat launch for example. Does this sound like something that needs to be looked at by a transmission specialist? Or, should my local mechanic be able to handle it? I am thinking the latter since the transmission seems to work fine once it is in gear. Thanks
  24. Hey, there is nothing equal to OFC out there. We are one of a kind.
