There is no legal requirement to have collision insurance on an automibile; so I doubt that there is one for ATVs. If you are financing the purchase, you may be required to have collision & comprehensive in addition to liability. That is way it works with cars & trucks.

Unless the rivits are holding the floor boards down (I have see this), you shouldn't have to remove any rivits. Pictures would help.

I used to rent part of my house out. The policy did not cover vandalism my tennents. This was renting a portion of a house that I was living in. I think there are more insurance issues when you will not be present. Make sure you know what your insurance covers.

The carpet in your boat (and the wood or aluminum underneath) are designed to get wet. Some people may store their boats indoors; but many store them outside, and the boats are designed to withstand rain, hail, and what else mother nature may through at it. I don't think you can compare this to the interior carpet in your vehicle or the kitchen floor in your house.

The one Quantum reel that I have owned didn't make me want to buy another one. Shimano reels that I have owned have made me want more Shimano reels.

Really? I can't understand how you guys have trouble getting the rods out of a Salty. You just lift the rod straight up. I've used Salties, Berts, Cannons, Scotty Quick Draws, & Scotty Orcas and I find that Salties to be the easiest to get the rod out of. The only other holder that even comes close to the Salty for ease in removing the rod is the Scotty Orca.

It doesn't look like clamp ons will work for you. I would mount some tracks; then you can attach Berts, Cannon, Scotty, or other rod holders. Down East Salties may require a custom bracket to be mounted on a track.

What kind of gunwhales do you have? And what are you fishing for? Down East Salties and Scotty have clamp on models. I think Cannon and Berts have clamp on options as well. The Down East Salties won't fit on my gunwhales; but the Scotty mounts will. Scotty has a number of different rod holders that will fit their bases. Their bases can also be bolted on if that makes more sense for your boat. Mounting tracks will give you a lot of options. Pictures of your boat would help with tips as well.

Has anyone seen Bluffers this week? How are the ramps? They were supposed to be closed down for maintenance last fall. Has that been completed? Any luck with fishing?

From what I have heard, they are also experiencing high water levels down stream on the St. Lawrance. So, releasing more water out of Lake Ontario will cause floods further down stream.

Yeah, there was a lot of water that last couple of times that I was there. Edit: I saw a post on FaceBook today. The road way from the bottom of the hill all the way to the parking lots is flooded.

New ones start at about $200. So half is optimistic.

Not really a fair comparison. Yours doesn't drain the bilge when you are on plane. That's like comparing the price of a motor bike to a CCM 10 speed.

You may want to consider a two battery setup; one for the main motor and one for all of your accessories. I think there are isolaters that will allow your main motor to charge both batteries but prevent your accessories from draining your starting battery.

What size motor do you have? If you are trying to start a big 250 hp motor, then a deep cycle may not be able to supply the amps required. Smaller motors should be fine with a deep cycle.

Do you need a signal to use the app or does it store the data on your phone? I don't always have a signal when I am fishing; and most users have limits for their data.

Make sure to leave enough slack in the cable for the motor to steer.

If there is a current draw (which there probably is) then new batteries are not going to solve the problem.

You may not have had the ability to close the vent. But there had to be someway for air to get in there to replace the fuel.

The motor wouldn't run if the tank wasn't vented. There has to be a way for air to get in to replace the gasoline that is being pumped into the engine.
