Not necessarly, the rounding occurrs on the total bill including taxes; not on the individual items. If the $3.99 item is part of a larger purchase, the final bill could end up being rounded down; not up.

NEW DRONE REGULATIONS....what a crock!
John Bacon replied to limeyangler's topic in General Discussion
There is a big difference between flying near an airport where planes are expected to fly and over a lake where a plane may or may not land at some point this summer. It makes sense that planes would have priority use of the airspace near and airport. But, it's less clear on some remote lake. It could be argued that they drone users have as much right to the airspace as the pilots. -
The cable drive does give better control in tight cover. An iPilot or Xi5 will give you lots of other advantages such as spot lock, auto steer the boat, memorized routes, etc. If you fish exclusivily heavy cover, a cable drive will give you better control. If you troll or fish more open water; I would recommend an iPilot or Xi5. I wouldn't consider a power steer model that didn't have an auto pilot system.

NEW DRONE REGULATIONS....what a crock!
John Bacon replied to limeyangler's topic in General Discussion
Is there some sort of time frame to that rule? I can understand having a law that prohibits drones from flying over a water body while a float plane is in the process of taking off or landing. But, if I take you statement literally, it means that once a float plane has landed on a remote back lake; then drones are permanently banned from flying over that lake. That seems like overkill. -
Is it the item or the discrepency that must be given to the customer? The way the sentence above is worded, it would be the discrepancy.

I have read several reports with similar results. I agree, Jimmer made the right decision.

Carp usually spawn in May, so if you are catching them from July to Sept, it doesn't sound like they are there just to spawn. Radio tracking of carp in the Toronto harbour area indicate that many carp winter over in the inlets on the sand spit; so they don't seem to require deep water to winter over.

4 bank, on-board chargers - Which one is worth the $?

If your battery(s) is dead after a day or two of fishing, an overnight trickle charge is not going to fully charge the battery. You'll either need more current, or a very long charging time. -
Are you referring to Amazon.ca or Amazon.com?
-
Have you checked Amazon.ca? If you order from Amazon.ca you don't have to worry about duty, exchange, etc.

Exciting finish; it was one all with two minutes to go; and they won 4 to 2.

Yes! Big win tonight. It's nice to see them score three quick goals late in the third instead of being scored on. Oops, I guess they are still letting those late goals in. Oh well, it didn't hurt them today.

MMJ Connoisseurs? VS Scotch Connoisseurs?
John Bacon replied to GbayGiant's topic in General Discussion
The stats are being reported as percentages so a change in the number of people wouldn't matter. Were you around in the 70s? You don't think that was true back then too? -

I am just the messenger. It is people who have actually done studies on marijuana use that are claiming that usage was higher in the 70s than it is now. -

But do they smoke more now than juveniles in the 70s did? Every bit of information that I have read indicates that marijuana usage was higher in the 70s than it is now. Although, the downward trend does seem to have reversed in recent years. I know that this in a American study; but I suspect that Canadian trends would be similar... "According to Dr. Johnston, in the 1970s 1 in every 11 high school seniors was a daily pot user. Today, he noted this rate is 1 in 16." http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/734288 -

Hasn't drug use gone down since the 70s? Here is a quote from the link below. '“The rate of Americans using illicit drugs today is roughly one-third the rate it was in the late '70s. More recently, there has been a 40 percent drop in current cocaine use and meth use has dropped by half,” the press release stated.' http://iipdigital.usembassy.gov/st/english/article/2012/04/201204174034.html#axzz4bufV3A2p -
There will be an information session on fishing issues in Cobourg Creek on March 28th. https://www.facebook.com/ganaraska.fishway/photos/a.1581992018753670.1073741826.1581991978753674/1962136607405874/?type=3&theater

Making or not making the playoffs may be the difference between picking 16th or 19th. I don't think that will make much difference. I would have preferred to see them get a better draft pick too. But, unless they completely tank and end up in the basement, they are not likely to get a high level pick. The chances of them barely making the playoffs and winning a lottery pick are pretty slim. Either, finishing in the bottom two; or making the playoffs would be good. Ninth in their conference is not good.

What type of fishing do you do? If you are weaving around stumps while you cast for bass, then a cable steer motor will give you better control than a power steer model. If you tend to troll or fish deeper open water then the autopilot does offer a lot of advantages. I wouldn't want to own a power steer motor that didn't have some type of autopilot. As mentioned, a cable steer motor gives much better control; but autopilot provides a lot of benefits that (depending on what type of fishing you do) may outway the better control offered by a cable steer motor. Personally, I troll a lot and use my bow mount to steer the boat. So, for me it was a decision between MK iPilot and MG Xi5. But everybody's needs are different.

Yeah, I can understand why an Ottawa fan wouldn't want Toronto in the playoffs...

I am pretty sure that all breeds of dogs are considered to be the same species. So a cross breed would not be considered to be a hybrid. The first labradoodles were obviously bred by crossing a lab and a poodle. But, now they could be bred by either breeding two labradoodles, or by breeding a lab and a poodle.
-
Many of what we consider purebreds today started out as mixed breeds (e.g. dobermans). If labradoodles, etc. are not recognized as pure bred now; they probably will be in the future.

Do all your kids get their own husky? That would be enough for a sled team.

I am trying to find some contacts at Canada Goose; preferably someone in the accounting department. They are going public and I provide consulting for reporting to the SEC so I may be able to help them. I would appreciate getting some contacts if anybody here knows someone working there.

MMJ Connoisseurs? VS Scotch Connoisseurs?

Not for recreational purposes it isn't. I believe that Trudeau plans to introduce legislation sometime this year to legalize it for recreational use. I don't expect that we are going to see a free for all where anyone can grow and sell marijuana. Even once it becomes legal, suppliers will need to be licensed. A lack of enforcement now will make it more difficult to enforce license and distribution laws that are passed in the future.
