  1. Thanks Everyone. An i agree Miller we will go back soon. I'm off to long point saturday and sunday going for some largemouth.
  2. Hi all, well I got out today to the parents on Erie for some more bass and this time I brought Miller. I have told him for awhile now that I would bring him out to catch some bass on Erie and the day finally came we left Stoney Creek around 5:30am today and wher at the parents and on the water by 7am. It wasn't to long before we got a couple but I just couldn't seem to find where the numbers of them where. We continued to look around and try new spots we fished untill about 11:30 and headed in for lunch. We had 19 at lunch between the two of us, me 12 and josh 7. So we cooked up some awesome burgers and we were back on the water. We tried a few spots with not to much luck only a couple. Then we found them. It was literally fish on almost every cast we ended up getting 59 between the two of us in the end. Josh 32 me 27. I let him beat me just to be nice lol. We had 5 double headers at this spot alone and it was a blast not to much size but a few decent ones biggest being 3 lbs. Didn't get pics of all of them but enough. This is just one of the double headers Hopefully I will have some pics of some bigger ones soon but I don't mind catching smaller ones then none lol. I should have some more pics soon as well, I am hoping to get out to long point this weekend for some largemouth and pike so hopefully. Hope you enjoy. Chris
  3. Great Report. Always nice to get out and fish with the old man.
  4. That's huge, way to go on landing that with only a towel as well lol. I see them the odd time in some bays out on Lake Erie but never tried for them I may try for some now.
  5. Thanks guys and good luck today SBK and bfisher hopefully one of us can bring in a monster lol. Go TEAM 10. I'm going to try my luck again somewhere else today haven't decided where.
  6. Hey everyone, well with bass season being here I have been fishing everyday since opener today the wife got off work late so around 7 pm decided to go out went to canadian tire then to the 50 point marina and fished the rocks meet up with miller fished for a bit with him then he had to take off not to long after that I nailed this decent largemouth bass my tackle bag was to far away which had my scale or measuring tape so didn't measure him I think he was around 18-19 inches maybe more I dont know and around 2-3 lbs. He put up a good fight and he hit on the lure that has caught well over 30 bass so far this year lol. I will hopefully have some more pics tomorrow to I am heading out somewhere if the thunder and lightning holds off. First Largemouth of the year. Sorry the pic is not good I forgot my camera and used my cell then had to lighten it. Thanks
  7. Great Report Joey. That's a nice job hooking yourself. Glad to hear it came out with no other problems. Great pics as well you sure got an eye with that camera.
  8. Glad to hear you got out and got some bass even with the boat troubles nice largies.
  9. Thanks Splash.
  10. Great pics and great report as usual. Those monsters sure give a fight.
  11. Nice one. That's a hog.
  12. Hey Great report. The large mouth got some nice colours to them. Glad to hear you got out and didn't get skunked. Even though Urban isn't nearly as nice and fresh as the north it's better then not fishing at all that's for sure.
  13. Thanks Paul, I agree it was a memorable one forsure. May not have been any fatty's but that's fine plenty of time left. Wonder what the wife would say if I said I wanted to move back to my parents lol. ctranter thanks and I agree they were hungry that's for sure.
  14. Great report. Those are some nice smallies, I wish mine had some size like that for my opener lol. Congrats on tying the PB. Always a good start to the season.
  15. I've never eatin a large mouth just smallies and for the most part I don't eat to many bass only ones that I hook bad. For the most part I'm filling up on fresh lake erie perch and walleye. I have seen lots of people eat them. Best way to find out is to try it out.
  16. Way to go bfisher nice ones, the best way to eat bass I find is in the fire wrapped in tin foil with butter, garlic, lemon, salt, pepper and onions, IMO the best way to cook a bass.
  17. Well for my bass opener I did the same thing I have for years, My parents hold a bass derby for opening day and even though I didn't win I can easily say it was my most productive opener my cousin and I went out in his boat and we landed over 40 each none being to big my biggest yesterday was around 15 or 16 inches and my cousins biggest was 18.5 inches being the 2nd place winner. Being that the action was so good and it was a busy day I forgot to get any pictures. So I went back out this morning around 7 with my cousin and a friend we took my boat this time and we lasted about a hour and I was the only to get any I got 2 and then we were all way to hung over and decided to go back and relax lol. Well I decided I can't go out for opener week and not have any pics for you folks so I was feeling a bit better and decided to head back out by myself, got out for a couple hours and got 8 more and lost a few no big ones or anything sepcial just some 15-16 inchers. Heres some pics from today They aren't the biggest as you can see but still a great amount of fun. When I came back in to shore my daughter was yelling daddy and she wanted to go for a boat ride so I got her all ready and my mom daughter and I went for a boat ride. It was her first ride since last summer and I'm sure she didn't remember going out last year as she hated it lol. This year she loved it so looks like I may have a fishing partner now for good. She was loving it and she liked more that I let her drive and honk the horn lol. That was the face after I took her away from the wheel she wasn't to happy then lol. Hope you enjoy sorry the pics aren't that great I was alone and my own photographer lol. There will be lots more this year and hopefully some real monsters just gotta get a calm day to get out to my spot. Chris.
  18. Leave the fish in the live well untill you get off the water then kill him and throw him on ice if your worried about it going bad or something dure to a long drive take the intestines and gills out before the trip. Sorry didn't read Dr.Salvelinus comment but do as he said and you will have no complaints.
  19. As Roy said the chlorine shouldn't affect the lures at all just make sure you rinse them off after. Only way the chlorine will wreck the lures is if you leave it in there. Thank god my pool is Lake Erie.
  20. Hey that's awesome Jack got his first fish. That pike was a good fight. Glad you shared this video of his first.
  21. Lake Erie for some smallies. My parents hold a bass derby at there place every year for the family and friends. Can't wait last year I won first for 230 bucks hope I can get it again.
  22. Hey Solopaddler great report. You have a amazing looking camp. Perfect spot I'd say great view and great fishing.
  23. I believe Bon Echo only has canoe and kayak rentals. But look around Bewdley on Rice Lake there is a campground around there and also lots of boat rentals I used to rent a boat and fish there often when I lived in peterborough. Theres great fishing in Rice Lake and it only a bit over a hour away. PM if you have any questions.
  24. I have one that my parents got for my daughter and it fit her good I'm not sure where they got it I will ask where they got it and if they don't need it I'll let you know it's new been used a couple times.
  25. Hey great report glad to hear you got some. Nice fish you got there.
