  1. Like another poster said, if you look hard enough, you can find maps for free for the Garmin.. Costco has the 60csx on sale for $199.99 (online, no membership required).. If you plan to use it for fishing, I can tell you a GPS alone would not be effective especially if you're looking for drop offs. You still need a sonar type system to pin point particular structures.
  2. I don't think the Garmin takes Navionics... not sure about the Delorme
  3. how do you guys call BPS and check stock and stuff? last time I called, no one answered... I tried for another 20~30 times and I gave up need to check stock on something today again, and no one's answering the phone. Long
  4. 20% off on the curados and citicas @ lebaron right now.. act fast
  5. pay $20~30 more for a citica... metal vs plastic
  6. what camera is it?
  7. I don't like it.. I can see how it could be accidentally deployed.. and it'd be a pita to remove the two hooks in a smaller bass.. I also don't like how the hooks are springy
  8. spool the cheapest mono on it, nothing under 12lb diameter when you're starting off put the brakes at the max settings (pink knobs all out) tension knob to tight.. which means the lure/weight doesn't drop unless u give it a flick start practicing, as you get more confident, slowly ease off the brakes and the tension knobs... for me... I usually keep the brakes at 2~3 out depending on wind condition and the type of lure
  9. I normally would recommend a croix or loomis (ESP the TSR series) but I just scored a Rapala Classic Trout UL for around $60 at LeBaron, 2pc, 40million modulus, comes with a rod bag... I was impressed at the quality at this price point... mind you I am coming from loomis (from crankbait series to GLX), Kistler LTX (zbone coming soon) and otger higher end rods
  10. and lots of it
  11. i think you should get a new keyboard before a new car
  12. because you want to watch it and you can't bear to watch it without sound... but in all seriousness, they are free on international flights... and on domestic flights, the company is encouraging people to use their own for environmental concerns (which is legit, but we all know why)... if you have your own headphones, why not use them? they will have much better sound quality anyways
  13. do you fly asia routes? I might see you some time... I work in the back
  14. do you need them Urgent? if not, check this out http://forums.redflagdeals.com/jc-whitney-promo-codes-all-season-tires-200-less-than-gta-997627/ The store is called JCwhitney, you can easily find 15% codes (you could also wait for 20% off codes), the beauty about them is, their shipping charge is very reasonable, and they will include ALL Customs/Duties/Taxes, no need to worry about border taxes.. I got my winter tires (General Altimax Arctics) and summer tires (Yokohama S drives) from them and have nothing but great service. Prices are at least $200 cheaper than buying in Canada.
  15. it's always suggested that you take the reel out and re-grease/oil the reeel when you first got it, the bearings are always packed with grease and by doing your own lubing, you can greatly improve the performance on your reels.. and of course, you can upgrade the drag/bearings while you're at it, all my reels get the Carbontex drag upgrade with the exception of the Zillion Type R that has it already
  16. I'm sure Etec would help you push the harmful emissions out of Uranus
  17. nuthin.... I would've gotten skunked if not for a small rock bass that pitied me
  18. I would assume the kids would be placed in a private school. They definitely have a more diverse and intense curriculum than we do, but I'm sure they don't go to school 7 days a week, they'll get their weekends off. China is booming right now, it'll be a bonus if your son in law could make some connections there, it'll be very beneficial to him if he wishes to start his business in the future or wishes to jump ship to another company. Like you said, it is a once in a lifetime experience; aside from the cultural shock, I don't see any downsides to this job offer.
  19. I think you got it the other way around, it's Wuhan city and Hubei province... it's a very large city, but definitely not as many foreigners as Shanghai or Beijing..
  20. i say this is more for those vendors who are not willing to ship to the states and for items that are big and cost a fortune to ship up here... more than often, items are a lot cheaper in the States than in Canada, so you don't only save on shipping.. the service that I use doesn't charge for the time the package stays, only a one time fee. I usually wait until I have a few packages and then pick them all up at the same time.
  21. I use cbiusa.com $6/package... no time limit on how long they hold on to it for you
  22. are we comparing ceramic guide inserts to stainless steel guide inserts or just stainless steel guides in general? anyhow, most definitely ceramic guides, harder and smoother the washers are to change the 'winding shape' of the line on the spool.. in other words, how the line stack on the spool.. to have more line towards the lip of the spool you reduce the number of washers on the spool shaft; to stack more line on the butt of the spool, add more washers
  23. awesome post
