  1. God it's so hard to find a boat right now... either they are priced way too high or the condition of the boats are really bad... boats that are reasonably priced in fair condition are sold within hours I also got burnt the first time on Kijiji Found a smokercraft in Hagersville, called the seller before I left, called him when I'm mid way.. by the time I pulled into his driveway, someone else is driving off his driveway with the boat... didn't even bother to call me.. drove 280km round trip for nothing, waste of gas and time. Such a scum. should I give up hope and just wait until late summer/fall to look for a boat? it wasn't this bad when I did boat shopping last year! any tips and pointers would be appreciated.
  2. Shimano Crucial
  3. Thanks guys, might head out early May. still looking for a fishing partner though
  4. wondering if anyone has joined a fishing charter in BC for Sturgeon fishing. If so, what are your experiences and if there's any charters that anyone would recommend.
  5. Your Mercury dealer will have the hydraulic fitting to tap into that grey coiled line zip tied to the back of the motor
  6. omg, you're still working on it? lol
  7. Oh.. that was you.. nice to meet you man... too bad you couldn't get your hands on the citica i would keep an eye out on the BST here and on big fat bass
  8. Hey guys... I was on the boat with Jackie on the initial run.. I'm almost 100% certain that the boat would run much faster than the top speed we hit. With the 115, the boat should hit at least high 40s and low 50s.. Right now... the boat is running around 41mph @ around 5100rpm but it's throwing a big rooster tail... trimming down the motor keeps the boat at the same speed but the RPM drops down to around 4500.. Just need some advice on whether the jack plate should be lowered for the trim to go up..... it seems that the prop is running too shallow
  9. can't you do catch and release?
  10. Did you remove the prop and see if its jammed with weeds?
  11. I do agree there should be a fine, but I don't think there's a law that allows us to fine them... what happens if the guy says, i ain't paying the $1000, u gonna leave me to die or what? I'm just saying without an existing law, it's hard to levy a fine against the idiots
  12. sooo.. apparently they're not allowed to bring anything onto the helicopter.. my sources says that there are a lot of flashers, rods, reels and stuff left behind.. if those items are inside a sled, where would be the best location to recover those items given the wind direction? Oh, I'm still trying to get a definitive answer on this.. do those guys get billed for the helicopter ride? if so, how much?
  13. please be cheap, please be cheap... lol the new BPS carbonlite would be going on it (provided I like it when I see it).. it would be nice to have a combo under 10oz
  14. BPS has the Suffix 832 on sale @ 20% off, time to stock up
  15. if you want to pay under $500 and you don't need down scan, I would recommend the 1st Gen HDS-5 I would also look into the new Lowrance Elite-4 series
  16. i believe lebaron has them, but I wouldn't waste my money on a grayscale down scan unit.. something like this is a much better option http://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pageID=71&section=1272&section2=1446&ID=27041 http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Humminbird_700_Series_Sonar/descpage-HB70.html#multiview
  17. perfect, I'll be at the show have you played with them first hand? how do they feel? and what would the pricing be on these guys?
  18. Lebaron has the Shift and the R type series.. they used to carry the Classic trout but doesn't anymore I just want to hold the Concept ti and see if it's really that good
  19. as title, anyone knows which store carries the new Rapala Concept Ti? I know Lebaron carries Rapala rods but they chose not to carry the new Concept Ti.. The thing looks like a winner on paper, but I want to try it first hand to see..
  20. if you can't afford the Champion, I would look into the Savvy.. still great rods
  21. is it really worth it? just sell the thing and get a used bow mount
  22. Oh ya, remember to call before you leave home for a meetup... If I don't get an answer from the seller, I will not go
  23. had mostly good experiences with Kijiji... but as with all online transactions (unless I know the buyer in person or he/she is a repeat buyer), I would NOT hold any items... first one with cash paid for and picked up gets it. Or unless you decide to send me the money through EMT.
  24. not too many deals, at least not the stuff I want Radio world has half price on St Croix ice combos and St Croix Legend Ice Rods I picked up a Dobyns 705CB Glass from Pro J because they're the only one carrying Dobyns I saw some good deals on fish finders/sonars at radio world...
