I've know this one since she was a kit. I can get with in about 3 to 5 feet from her. Most years she dens on our property and we have a batch kits running around our yard for a few months. Really helps keep the rodent population down. Not too many mice problems in our out builds because of them.

Tank colour. The dual fuel tanks were silver. Regular naptha tank was red.

Possible causes could be, crank seal leaking on that side causing that cylinder to run leaner, or carb issues (if it's not an efi sled) If it's has dual carbs, you could have an air leak at the carb boot on that cylinder or reduced fuel flow due to dirt or icing in that carb. Also check your main jet size to make sure it's the correct size for the elevation and temp range your operating in. If you're mainly running fuel with 10% ethanol, it's usually advisable to increase your main jet size. Also, when you order new pistons, stick with a cast piston like the Polaris OEM or SPI brand. Avoid using a forged type like Wiseco. The forged type are less forgiving if you don't warm up your sled really well before driving it.

I do believe tml augers were made by Frontier Chainsaws. Their saws used an NGK brand plug BM7A gapped at .030". The NGK BM7A also cross references to both the Champion CJ4 and CJ6 on my cross ref. list. Hope this helps.

For more current info, you could try contacting some people through the one of the Manitoba Fishing Forums. Most of the forums are Winnipeg/Red River/Lake Winnipeg orintated, but there are some members from Westman area that frequent the forums, that may be able to help.

Rivers is north up Hwy 10 and west on Hwy 25. Make sure you pinch the barbs on all the hooks, the whole province is barbless only. Live minnows are allowed but only with a permit and you're only allowed to keep the alive for 3 days, the timeframe specifide on the permit. Salted Minnows are the most available bait. Woody's hasn't been in business for a number of years.

Grew up on a farm near Minnedosa MB, about an hour north of Shilo. Fishing is pretty slim in the imediate area. Close to Brandon/Shilo your best bet would be Rivers Lake (a reseivior on the Little Saskatchewan River) . Mainly northerns and some walleye. If you are willing to travel a little more, 45 minutes north up Hwy 10 and 15 minutes West on Hwy 45 brings you to Sandy Lake and Thomas Lake, a little further north of Sandy. Sandy use to be great for perch and had some good walleye and of course, like all prairie lakes, lots of hammer handles. North of Neepawa MB there;s Kerrs Lake, but it's prone to winter kill. Some years walleye and northern fishing can be good and other years non existent. Otter Lake south of Riding Mountain National Park can be good for Northerns along the east side near the springs, but access maybe a problem, most of the land around the lake is privately owned. There's Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park, but you would need to buy a Federal Licence and Park pass, an expensive venture to say the least. Oak Lake, about an hour west of Brandon, near Virden MB can be good. Just a few options to look at. Take it your brothers in the PPCLI. Pass on my thanks for his service.

The big problem with lake Winnipeg isn't agriculture, but the city of Winnipeg. The majority of the phosphate level in the lake occurs from the citys sewage effluinent not from agricultural sources. Most homes in the city have dishwashers that run on a daily basis and the detergent is a major source of phophate. The cities sewage treatment plants do not remove this contaminiant prior to duimping the effluinent into the Red River. This increase in phospates is a major contributor the the algae blooms the lake experience in the summer months.

For long term storage to keep it liquid, throw it in the freezer in smaller usable containers. Take it out a container as needed and allow to thaw naturally.

The rubber seals on the suicide doors are poor on my 2005. They come loose and don't always seal well.
