  1. A light solution of bleach and water ( 1:10) sprayed over the surfaces prior to wiping will take care of any Hanata Virus. A mask is also advised to avoid breathing in any dust. Dirty little rodents. Glad to see another one bite the dust
  2. This may answer your question. Value of 78's
  3. Can you speak up? What did you say?
  4. Must have missed your post as I was looking through the thread. Gotta get my eye checked
  5. I'm surprised no one has suggested this. Bucket Mouse Trap
  6. In honor of Small Face's Hall of Fame Induction.
  7. No, I said the data set doesn't exist to prove it's happening or, if it is, what the cause is. As for "an international consensus in the scientific community" , you must be selective in the papers you read, because there is such wide range of views being express with in the community, that to use the word consensus is being generous to say the least.
  8. That's exactly my point. No one does, nor do we currently have the data set available to say one way or the other if it's happening or what the cause is if it is. Mankind's existence is only a small point in the earths 4.5 billion year history. There is evidence of several climatic changes that pre-date the dawn of man, so for us to assume that we know what's going on and that there is a direct cause borders on arrogance and foolishness.
  9. So I guess following your logic, oil company profits are conclusive evidence that global warming exists. Global warming is a hypothesis, and in all science, hypothesis only become fact if backed up by a valid data set. In this case, the valid, statistically sound data set doesn't exist, therefore it's still just a hypothesis.
  10. The earth is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old. The current method of recording average yearly global temperature has been in place since 1950 (62 years). Prior to this, several other methods of recording average global temperature were used. Approach any statistician and ask them if a sample size of 62 of a population of 4.5 billion possible data points holds any significance and whether it's possible to base any sound conclusions from it. The global climate and what effects it is far more complicated then what is being portrayed in the media. Many things have been shown to possibly effect global temperatures over short term periods, such as solar flare activity and agricultural practices. These short term factors coupled with a very small data set make it impossible to say one way or another what is going on and what is the cause, but it doesn't stop scientist chasing grant money from saying it is possible.
  11. Prior to retiring 2 years ago, my job as agrologist provided me with a company supplied truck that over the course of 1 year, I'd rack up approximately 80,000 km/year. I use to go through a truck every 2 years. The crappy factory tires would usually last for 40,000 km and then need replaced. Over the years, I tried many different brands and models of AT light truck tires (BF Goodrich, Hancook, Uniroyal, Michelin, Bridgestone, General & Goodyear) and the best tire for performance and wear I found was the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. I put over 120,000 km on every set I had of these and they provided the best performance on and off road.
  12. Love the Canon D10. Good all around mid price point & shoot.
  13. :good:
  14. I'm sorry, but the statement above does bring your integrity into question. I've never taken money or participated in any job or oath that I'd didn't fully believe in. Using the symbol does make my point go away or lessen it's value.
  15. So we can draw from this that you're a hypocrite?
  16. :thumbsup_anim:
  17. I've had a Thompson Original Pro II Vice for almost 30 years and love it. My link
  18. Congratulations. She'll have you wrap around her little finger in no time. I know, 3 daughters and if it wasn't for the wife, they would have got away with murder.
  19. Have a safe trip Simon. I've got to head that way myself this week. A few nights at my moms in Winnipeg then out to pick the wife up from her parents place at Onanole.
  20. Amazes me how many people from distant parts seem to know so much about the Outdoor retail scene in Winnipeg. Cabela's Winnipeg is basically the old SIR store. Not much has changed in the way of staff, management or inventory. Not much resemblance to Cabela's south of the border. You should check out Pro Am like grt1 suggests, I've never been there myself, but have gotten a lot of great feedback from friends on the service and pricing at Pro Am There's always the Fishing Hole as well, but I wouldn't expect much there Simon.
  21. Just ordered a new rod through them the other day, $15 cheaper then anyone else on line. Wholesale and Cabelas are just a matter of a couple of blocks away from each other in Winnipeg, so you might as well check out both while your there Simon.
  22. When you're in Winnipeg Simon, check Wholesale Sports. They don't always have inventory like Cabelas, but I've found them to usually have slightly better pricing on certain items.
