  20. From opening and for a couple of weeks after on Rice Lake we would jump in the boat after supper, motor out to one of the islands, beach the boat and then pull on our chest waders... We would then proceed to cast a Rapala into the westerly wind while standing in the water...usually got our limit each just before and after dark...We kept them on a stringer tied to our belt...
  21. There are strange things done in the midnight sun By the men who moil for gold; The Arctic trails have their secret tales That would make your blood run cold; The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, But the queerest they ever did see Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge I cremated Sam McGee. That's all I can remember Folks !
  22. Ten some odd years ago, our family chipped in together and bought us return VIA tickets to Montreal and a junior suite at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel ( the train station was under the hotel) for our 25th anniversary... We spent a lot of time wandering around visiting various cathedrals including a trip by cab up the mountain to the oratory... One evening, Roy came and picked us up and we had dinner with him and J. at their place in Boucheville (SP) It was all very nice...
  23. You have my emphathy Brian...I have been dealing with bladder cancer since July of 2009...6 operations since and a cystoscopy every 3 months...damn tumors keep recurring but it is a relief when my uroligist tells me "all clear" after each check-up...I find the cystoscopies are an uncomfortable procedure but they only take 5 minutes and better safe than sorry... Hope things work out ok for you...
