I've been stung a couple of times on longer delivery time mainly because the item had to come up from the states...Eventually I got my order...Most times Amazon delivers as promised or even a day or two earlier... Mind you they did send me an e-mail notifying me of the delay !

The year my bro-in-law and I drove my step daughter's van down to Florida (the movers wanted $2500) we went fishing off a pier and they charged us $5 for entrance fee and $15 for rod and reel rental...as we were expecting to be there for ten days we went to Wal-Mart and bought decent combo fresh water outfits for about $40 each and saved $15 each time we used them (making sure we washed them in fresh water afterwards) We left them for my grandsons to use...

Curve Lake is usually $0.10 per liter cheaper than most places...not worth driving all the way over to get gas but if we are passing that way to Buckhorn, Lakefield or Peterborough... Lately it has been around $0.25 per liter cheaper...Worth the trip over...

What size hook is the mamas ? We use a 1/32 oz. size Finess jig for crappy or 1/16 oz size...

I too was amazed at how well organized they were at the Evinrude Center...we had been warned not to get there more than 10 minutes before our scheduled time as you were not allowed to get in line before your time was called...(unless you want to sit and wait in your car...LOL) ...Same once you go inside...well organized...We also go back in July !

When we moved up to the Kawarthas about 18 years ago after retiring from CBC, Bell kept telling us that high speed was coming...After 4 years we changed to Cable Cable and are still with them...Don't know if Bell ever did get high speed up here...
