  1. Another way is to clear your "cache" Tools...delete browsing history...internet temp files...cookies...browsing history...close you will have to log in next time
  2. Besides kudos to Kelvin and douG for the great eats...I want to mention the great job JR did helping Maureen with the draw and the fish judging... I hope that lady gave you your puppy back !!!
  3. Geeeeze...It looks like I'm pulling a "Roy"...That's his favorite pose ! CPH is right...I was looking over my glasses while trying to untangle 2 lb mono...bloody stuff is like thread...
  4. I am with Lew on this issue Joey...get professional help...If you remember I had an operation on the protruding disk on my back three years ago and had to miss that years Tyler Event... As soon as I got up from my bed I damn near dropped to my knees from the pain shooting down both legs...I still remember hanging on to the kitchen counter while making a coffee... We tried months of physical therapy etc. to no avail...Percocets gave the only relief... Finally they sent me to a back specialist in the Shoppr's Drug Mart Plaza just above the Blinds to Go store on Yonge Street above Weldrick... He had me have an MRI at York Central and then finally got me booked in for an operation...I remember him saying that no amount of excersise or physical therapy will cure my problem and that an operation was the only answer in my case...and he was right...a month later I was fine as far as that area was concerned... The MRI also showed some degeneration of the discs in my lower back along with arthritis in the vertebrae I fractured in a car accident back in the late '60s... Sure hope Paul seeks professional help ASAP and the acute pain now doesn't become chronic for years to come...
  5. Sorry to hear that my friend... Had to replace the old station wagon for the same reason not too long ago... It took a tank of gas (approx) to go to the Tyler event and back home in the pick-up when half a tank would suffice with the wagon... What a gas guzzler !!!
  6. A couple of more shots... The crowd waiting for their number to be called in the draw... Tried to catch Big Chev 4x4 feeding his face but wasn't quick enough...
  7. Maureen sez that 102 registered including kidlettes... Thanks big time to Photoz and Misfish (Brian) for taking pity on an old guy and drilled me a couple of holes... A few pics... Photos and his new pupils... My new friend... Weather was great until later on in the afternoon when the wind picked up some...Fishing was no hell though...
  8. Never mind fingering that out seeing as how we all are going to the Tyler event today...My ride "Big Cliff" can't make it this year so I'm sitting here waiting for daylight before I take off...
  9. YOU...bought sumpin' cheap !!! I find that hard to believe knowing how much you spend on fishing and camera equipment not to mention trucks and vans...
  10. And don't forget the intelligent answers you get to your questions
  11. That looks like the same trout that had the Loblaw's bar code on it...
  12. I've never fished down at that end of Pigeon Lake...With only a 4.4 hp Mercury on the "Tin of Beans" (old 14 ft. aluminum) the furthest south I've been is the south end of Big Island... I hear it is much shallower down at that end so I'm guessing good bass, crappie and musky fishing... Have fun finding some "honey holes" and take some pics...
  13. Like Roy said...Spiel is the man for the job...
  14. For those coming up from the south (Toronto etc)... Innisfil Bait and Tackle... Hwy 89 and Yonge St (Hwy 11) on the south/west corner
  15. He had half of one of my bologna and cheese g'weeches (no condiments) as he had ate all of his...LOL
  16. Sugar Bush Trail ?...or further south down near Ganon's Narrows?
  17. Wow !!!...I had no idea that you wern't feeling well on Monday...I remember you saying you had to salt the driveway when you got home...I offered to share my chicken broth but you declined...may not have helped but wouldn't have hurt...
  18. Again the rumors are starting about opening the Kawarthas for icefishing for panfish only (from two fairly reliable sources)...sure would be nice to fish in our own backyards...hell, Big Cliff could run a long extension cord out to a hut for a heater, hotplate and TV... BTW...I am on the north shore of Pigeon and can be over to Simcoe (Beaverton) in about an hour, Jack Lake in 45 minutes, Miner's Bay on Gull lake in about an hour plus, Scugog in half an hour or more and Crystal Lake in less than an hour so there is lots to choose from but still, it would be nice to fish in the backyard so to speak...
  19. I know how you feel...I waited for four years for Ma Bell to put hi-speed in this area and finally gave up...contacted my cable company...and by bundling my tv cable...I ended up saving approx $35 a month...
  20. Fishing for suckers in the spring over by Lake Simcoe helps to fill in the time between ice-out and the opening of the Kawarthas for crappie (last Saturday of April)... Helps to hone your hook setting, casting, and catch and release skills...besides being a lot of fun !

    Sad News

Sorry to hear this news Ron... A guy's best friend is his mom...
  22. Bring the lad out to the Fishing for Tyler Event at Innisfil Beach Park on Saturday 14 February... Lots of good prizes in the draw after the fish winners have chosed theirs... Williams Wablers or Williams Jigging spoons will catch both whitefish or Lake Trout as will Meegs/BadBoyz jigs...
  23. Can't say I blame you Lew...it took me damn near 15 minutes to reply to Big Cliff's thread last Sunday morning...
  24. Good job Ernie...WTG ! I quit when one of our grandsons was born as his parents had already proclaimed their house as off limits for smoking...Ok by me as I was smoking more and enjoying them less...He will be twenty-three this coming July 30th...it was tough at first but I knew as long as I didn't have the first one...it was impossible to have the second...one-day-at-a-time...
  25. Seems to me I read on one of the carp sites that potatoes were the 'hot" bait a few years ago... Don't know if they were french fried or raw... Maybe Lorne (Hammercarp) knows...?
