  10. I used an Ugly Stik with a Mitchell 300 for many many years until it became fashionable to use several rods rather than change lures and spools... I still have a couple of Ugly Stiks in my arsenal...one 6'6" one piece coupled with a Shimano Curado baitcasting reel and the other is a two piece 7' that I was using for carp fishing until I inherited an 11' Aurora Barrinton carp rod with an Okuma baitrunning reel this past summer... Like a Timex watch...the Ugly Stix take a lickin' and keep on ticking...
  11. Now wait just a darn minute guys...someday you will be in your seventies and will not be agile enough to be balancing on the tongue of your trailer to guide it on or kick it off...my first mate (wife) and I have got the launching of the "Tin of Beans" down pretty well for only twice a year...
  12. We tried Stone's for minnows once but they were a bit big Garry...never thought to use just the heads or tails... Live and learn eh ? Other times we used our leftover emeralds from Simcoe...prefferably live but salted worked well also...
  13. Three hours from the 'Shwa to lake Watchamacallit ???...Did you walk ???...or was it a very long coffee break at the shop at hwy 7 and 28 north (formerly 134)... Just kidding...that was some storm...Glad to hear you had some action... Big Cliff and I will get up there one of these days...if you were using minnows, where did you purchase them?

  21. While driving past the bay on our way to Maureen's for an early dinner I noticed about 20 or 30 huts all grouped close together on the north/west corner and open water on the south/west corner...What species would they be after out there ???
