  1. Well done my friend...you just may have saved someone here a lot of pain and aggrevation or their life...
  2. I still got mine Brian in case you want to borrow it...complete with original float and tackle...only ever used it for a spare when icefishing with the kids when they were young...
  3. Nice shots !!!...must be difficult holding your rod and taking pics or did you have a photographer take them for you? Last carp I caught, I had to reach into my bag for my forceps while holding on to my carp rod then scramble down a bank to unhook it at the shoreline...no lifting for me either...
  4. Cripes !...First it was a car (keep the kids off the road !) Now it's a boat (keep the kids out of the water !) Just kidding...She looks good !!!...Enjoy ! How's...'Renes Dream...for a name ?
  5. Close-up of a young deer by DanC... Osprey by Photoz... Both of these are calendar worthy in my opinion !
  6. I guess even Suzuki is entitled to his opinion on C&R (I don't agree with him but, that's my opinion)...
  7. Actually Jack (Nanook) named her the "Tin of Beans" The first time Maribeth and I met Jack and Jackie at the Timmies in Lindsay he had a tin of beans sitting on the roof of his van so we would know which car was his... After he and Big Cliff tore the boat and trailer all apart and refurbished her we had to come up with a name and seeing as how she was still a dented old piece of tin can the name seemed to fit...
  8. Here she be..."The Tin of Beans" !!! Coming out on Sunday...Have some work to do on the dock...
  9. And not only that...you get better lookin' every time I see you ! Congrats to you and Paul...
  10. Geeeze, and here I thought if you covered your ass, you wouldn't get caught with your pants down...
  11. Wow !!!...that's one big mamma pig of a carp...gives you an idea of why some of us target them... Ya...nice hat...I gots one just like it...
  12. Well done my friendly...glad to see you are getting out and about on your holiday!
  13. I use a 4 hp Mercury 2 stroke...my bro-in-law had it stored away for over three years with no winterizing and after we poured in some gas, Big Cliff gave it a pull and it started right away...??? However that fall we had Buckeye Marine look it over real good and they replaced some minor parts and winterized it for a total of $98 ($65 just to take the cover off...LOL) Have had it winterized every fall since...
  14. The easiest way I've found is just below your post there is an area where you can choose what pictures you wish to upload directly from your computer...after uploading you go back to the same area and "manage" attachments by clicking on the green + sign beside your attachment...
  15. Didn't have my worm bag with me Brian...just my tubes... As much as I'm a Leaf fan, watching hockey takes a back seat until the baseball season is over...I gotta go with Boston (American League)
  16. The way I look at it Wayne...all fishing trips are successful...some are a bit more successful than others... Not too sure where today's trip fits... There is about a dozen small smallies and several of the world's greatest sportfish swimming around out there with sore mouths... The wind was light when I left the dock and picked up quite a bit when I got to my favorite rock pile...and a couple of hours later the north sky got pretty ominous looking...so I headed in closer to home...gave me a chance to check out the weed situation for crappy fishing in the evening...maybe give it a try before the World Serious Series begins tonight... Driftfishing past Gordon's Rocks... The sky looking north...
  17. Why are you sitting here when you could be out fishing ? " The wife's away 'till dinnertime, the cats are sleeping after galavanting outside all night...The "Tin" needs emptying after all the rain yesterday so...may as well... To be continued...
  18. What Lew said...(like as if I knew what I'm talking about...LOL) Not in the boat....it's only a story...!
  19. Yep, Terry has a point...until we know all the facts..." Keep an Open Mind "
  20. Oh No !!!...I hope that wasn't Bambi !!! Just kidding pal...Congrats !
  21. Hey Scootch..."Believe" is the motto of The Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto and we use it in our signatures to remind us of the battle Chris (son of OFNer Rob) has had several times with cancer... You might have read the post earlier about Chris and his sister and his dad on a fishing trip with Aaron Shirley... WTG Keram...you beat me to it !
  22. Anytime you wish you had the boat back you know where I park the "Tin of Beans" and you are welcome to use her anytime my friend... Between carp fishing and crappie fishing I probably spent half my time fishing from shore this year...
  23. 0 degrees celcius...(32*F)...ice making weather !!! I hope you outdoor skating rink fans are happy... As soon as Kelvin (Loonietunes) gets up we will be heading out on the lake... Yesterday was too windy and rough to put his boat in but we managed to play with some panfish from shore in a protected bay...at least we got to wet a line...
  24. Gotta agree with Brian... I was given a $300 gift certificate for that store when I retired...and too bad they didn't get it for elsewhere as damn near everything I bought was at least $2 cheaper at le Baron's...
