And if it was last years did it have a good dose of stabelizer in it... I understand gas only has a shelf life of about one month because of the ethanol added so I put stabelizer in every can before re-filling all year long...

Geeze Cliff...I got at least 50 years service out of my old Mitchell 300 before I retired it...Didn't matter how much grease /oil you gave it it still sounded like a coffee grinder when being reeled...LOL That was a Mitchell 300X I was using last week for catching suckers...

BTW...Big Cliff introduced me to a product call "Nok-Out" ...works real well to eliminate odours...fish, gas, cat piss, etc... Got some for Maureen to spray her dogs with after they encounter skunks (they never learn!) Can be purchased in pet stores and soon will be in bait and tackle shops... Handy to carry in your tackle bag...eliminates human odour when hunting and fishing...use sparingly...

I don't think there is a generation gap when it comes to fishing... I'm 72...next weekend I will be fishing with a 29 year old, a 38, a 44, a 62 and a 73... We all have that one thing in common...we love to fish !!!

Honeymoon Island...not the best of memories for us...after an afternoon of swimming and sunbathing I got hit on the foot by a stingray...Cripes that hurts...Went to a walk-in clinic and the first thing they asked was "how are you going to pay for this visit"...not how are you or what's the matter...LOL After soaking my foot in very hot fresh water and antiseptic they sent us on our way...after ringing up $120 on the Mastercard...had taken out insurance so I got it all back after we got home...
