  3. I will more than likely be there... I think Meely and Tony may drop by also if'n they are not too busy at the "Manor"... I'll throw my waders in the back of the wagon...size 10 methinks...
  4. Fine thing to see after waking up from my morning nap ! Bring up an auger on the weekend Meely...
  5. Maybe you should have Tony...but even your ''Special bait'' wasn't working very well... Meely...carefull with that "spray-nine"...I tested it on some vinyl siding and it was ok...but when I tried it out front it removed the paint...it was then I realized the test area was on the extension part of the house therefore newer type siding...
  6. ...Thought for a moment I had spilled sumpin'... Can't take that damn Beans anywhere nice... BTW...CPH, Jack and I only managed about 10 small crappie and a like number of bluegills this morning...The cold last night seems to have shut them down...
  7. See Steve...All you got to do is ask and thou shalt receive... Whatta place this OFC eh?...
  8. Had the pleasure of fishing for and catching crappie with your Uncle Rick and his son Andrew over the weekend... Damn...you meet the nicest people through this board !!! OFC
  9. Pigeon Lake was 57*F at the shallow end of our bay (north shore) and 50*F a bit further out in the bay... Water levels are still very high with lots of docks still under water...prob up 2 feet...
  10. Cliff:...Congrats on the carp and the new Okuma baitrunner...gotta love the sound of the line running through a bite alarm !!! To pass along a tip on the Okuma...sometimes when the bail arm is in the twelve o'clock position the free spool is not "free"...always pull about an inch or two of line out to make sure it running "free"... It took me five fish before I got to learn to disconnect the "free spool" before lifting the rod...nothing like twenty pounds of angry carp on the end of your line and a lovely "birds-nest" at the reel... :wallbash:
  11. Our regulations for Alpine Village Homeowners Association state: "the maximum size of a dock in the lagoon (where I park the "Tin of Beans") is 36 inches wide by 20 feet in length or as determined by the association" "the construction of exterior (outside the lagoon) docking requires a permit from the Trent Severn Waterway and we as an Association must adhere to their regulations Note: Their regulations state docks cannot exceed 48 inches wide and 30 feet long... I hope this helps...
  12. You sure can...and with a bit of luck using a micro tube under a lighted float...you just may run into a nice school of crappie...
  13. '' Ever Dream About it?'' Phew !!! He is talkin' about fishing...At 13 years of age I shoulda known... Things coulda got messy...
  14. Cripes !...Hitch up your britches there son...you're about to become em-bare-assed... Nice to see your damn pictures again and you catching fish...
  15. Rookie mistake...Always read the exceptions...
  16. I hear ya Big Guy... Too bad...Uncle Dave is coming here on Sunday...could have put him to work...and I could have supervised... Most of our docks are under water...except the ones like this one... It was ready to go out with the ice last Monday as soon as the wind shifted...
  17. Ignore this...Cliff just postponed 'till the following Sunday 04 May 2008
  18. Except for fishing off/near the causeway (Hwy 7A)...That is a sanctuary until pickerel season opens... Why not go to Big Cliff's place and lend a hand puttin' in his docks...Free lunch !!!
  19. He will get the best of care at Princess Margaret...Have good thoughts...and take care of yourself also...
  20. WOW !...Jitterbugs, River Runts, Diamond Jims, Jointed Pikie Minnows, June Bug spinners...all pre Rapala...long skinny baits like Benos and Lazy Ikes for pickerel... All we ever used for pike at West Lake at Wellington was Dominion 36 or 197 Willow Leaf Spinners... I found a couple of "Rooster Tail" spinners way back in a box and will give them a try as I understand Dawg uses them with success...even calls himself after the color of one of them... Great thread for memories...
  21. Talk to you at the "Manor" on Saturday Cliff... Don't know what I can do considering the shape I'm in...(round is a shape...Right?) For many years I was too light for heavy work...Now I'm too heavy for light work... DANG !!!
  22. Happy Birthday Bill...did someone mention "CAKE"...I likes cake !!! Hey Jack...you sound like George Burns...
