  1. awaiting a PM.
  2. This map is great for finding small trails. Consider me brookie fishing today! http://ofsc.mapbase.ca/viewer/
  3. Some new Bruce Cockburn. A great Canadian musician. ...he even mentions trout fishing in the song!
  4. Two good sized fish GRT1! That's the way to bless a new season.
  5. Shake and stop probably is the best, as it is with bass, but try any kind of action and see what they like. Drop shot got me a few walleye on Memesaugamesing and Rice using a 4inch Pink/white Tiki Grub.
  6. Check out the Bass assassin web site and look at the BULK section. Great deals to be had, but low selection. http://www.bassassassin.com/c/-Special-BULK-Discounts-Inventory-Reduction-SALE%21/bass-fishing-lures/bulkitems/
  7. Thunder bolts haha that's good. What a shock to see washington get swept. I chose Wash to win the cup, but now I think San Jose will win. I'm VERY happy to see Detroit down 3-0. They beat the Jets on their last game and they might have done the same to Phoenix. Nuts to the Red Wings.
  8. hahaha that would make Al Bundy proud. I do NOT recommend this!! haha
  9. ya, I was there. you too? I do like this option, as I won't be overloading the truck too much. If I needed more I could always add-on, or spend more. I'll also look into adding a full leaf and the airbags... I'll get some info from the suppliers before I make a decision. Thanks again to everyone
  10. Hmm now I'm confused haha. I'll talk to HE Brown and the Steering Wheel to get their opinions on all these suggestions.
  11. I predict a rise in Canoe sales this year.
  12. Nice one! I'll visit the Steering Wheel this weekend.
  13. I agree with this for brookies...the lighter and stealthier the tackle, the better your odds. I beat my brother out 7-1 last year. He had 20lbs test and a steel leader while I used 6lbs fluoro directly tied to my spinner.
  14. I think it's tough to compete with the real thing. Although that could be my scapegoat excuse haha The water should be cold enough that the big girls will still be in the shallows. I was watching pike spawn on Manitoulin last weekend.
  15. I've had good luck for pike in the very shallows <6feet in heavily weeded bays...funny enough I've also had decent luck with walleye in these spots. Try the edges of the weed lines for walleye where the depths increase to 10-15feet. There is a very good baitfish base in this lake which makes it tougher to get consistent bites. In my experience, it's been tough to catch consistent numbers on this lake. good luck
  16. I tried to catch them, but they were too fast
  17. Sweet! I saw four of them in Sunridge. This morning.
  18. :worthy:There's no knowledge like local knowledge. Thanks Randy! Rob V I was hoping a Ranger-head would shime in! After all the advice, I think I'll go with the extra leaf, but I'm not eliminating the air bag (timbren) option. It's official, you guys are awesome. In a few simple words I've gotten more info than I would have driving around town for a whole weekend.
  19. You'd win, my traction control stops me from having any fun
  20. oh ya no problems with the motor. That 4.0L loves to work.
  21. I'll look into this option too... although I'm a bit skeptical about long term quality, especially with generic (read low cost) brands.
  22. my truck is bouncy already, sometimes I hope the wheels will catch again. I'm not talking about very large loads, maybe 500-2000lbs. The rangers/Bseries are famous for the "sag" even under light loads and I figured I could get a good comprimise between comfort and capacity with a small adjustment. Skeeter: that's a good idea, that way I can get them to dial it in just right for me since leaf springs come in many varieties.... it's probably the cheapest option too. Now to find out if North Bay has a spring shop
  23. What is the cheapest/easiest way to strengthen the rear suspension so it doesn't sag under load? I'd also like to see a 0.5 to 1inch lift. I'm not a truck guru but I have a good basic knowledge. I would not do the job myself because I don't have a garage or the proper tools. 2010 Mazda B4000 (read Ford Ranger) Larger leafs? Bigger shocks? other options? Thx
  24. way to kick cancer's butt and nice four-trout-species report.
