  1. Absolutely it's not their responsibility but all websites could easily monitor their users and publicly post it or correct it. Especially if it protects some of the users, ethically it could only be the rigth thing to do. They don't because they are not legally obliged and because it would cost money and maybe hurt business. Some websites ( ) have open access to ISP information so that you can get a general idea of who is who and where. Only a fraction of people are scammers on Kijiji, it would be relatively easy to single those people out. EBay has done a good job of this....and you CAN sell for free on EBay in many situations. Oh, and OFC is free as well, with a very low scam rate... well some would say otherwise
  2. Kijiji could easily do isp searches on these scammers. If word got out that there were scammers working kijiji in your area, that would save a lot of people from getting ripped off. I guess kijiji doesn't want any kind of bad media attention.
  3. Sounds like groundwater monitoring wells. They could also be groudwater level monitors... but most likely wells/boreholes. THey are locked so people don't damage or impair the well...or throw in old gas for spite haha. There's nothing like finding undesired chemicals in your water sample haha. The well owner is either the property owner or the pollution generator (someone who caused a spill). You could contact the property owners and ask them why they are there.... If they don't know, they should, because there are Regulations for monitoring wells and need to be abandoned/installed by qualified personel. My guess would be they are there because there is concern that groundwater contaminates could reach the river. Its also possible that they are there for long term monitoring so they have records of the groundwater quality over the years.
  4. Exhilerating fishing to say the least! I didn't know you before, but its good to have you back.

  8. Agreed 100%. Some do, some don't... but I definitly need a better half! Thanks Hehe, it's the first one I looked into, thanks to a google search. It has great ratings and reviews and is the most expensive around; it pretty much stands alone. Horses are nice touch too! Thanks Ketch, I bookmarked the Deerhurst... you know they have nice facilities after the G8 spending Thanks Mike! I like this alot, "she will know where you are by the seasons". Look at the Greenwoods cabins...$1,855 for a week. Not bad. Its on my short list. Thanks!
  9. Thanks Lew It's expensive there...but it's a 5star resort! Thanks Joey It's a nice area no matter what room you sleep under. Don't remember, wasn't listening hahaha. We wanted to stay close by as well. The wedding is in Bancroft so I figure we'd pick a place that is en route to North Bay. Good luck and congrats to you too, Mike Thanks Tybo, I'm looking into Oxtongue right now... C'est romantique dans le bateau a Mike? haha She REALLY likes the idea of a walleye cruise! Thanks Great sites! Thanks, that'll give me some good ideas. I really like SirSam's...so far it's number one on my list. Thanks
  10. I'll trade you a perch spot and a white bass spot for those two pike n walleye spots Nice pickup. You'd have been in a bidding war, had I seen it on Kijiji.
  11. Well, I locked her down! I'm getting married in August to the girl I love We've been together for over 2years and we are nearing 30. Although we feel the time is right, time wasn't really a factor, because I would have married her at 19 if I could have. Here is the hubby-to-be with the bride-to-be. So I've already asked the big question but the second biggest question hasn't been answered yet. What species are we fishing for on our honeymoon? As for a honeymoon, does anybody have recommendations for resorts in the following areas? North of Bancroft, Haliburton, along highway 60 area, huntsville, east of Hwy 11 all the way to North Bay and any area with a couple hours of North Bay? It'll be late August. I've looked at "Couples Resort" in Whitney and it looks great with great reviews...I'll be calling them soon. I'm just looking for other comparitive resorts that offer lake-side lodging for couples. As always, I appreciate any advice. Chad
  12. Enjoy your bi-polar spring. That walleye in the photo sure does a good smelt impression haha
  13. That guy pumps out more songs than I thought was humanly possible... I didn't say great songs though I might like 2 or 3 of his songs. this is a good song that I always think of when the global warming/changing weather topic comes up... like +25 in March. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN9BCHi-lks
  14. That's where I mainly shop online as well. Their sales are fantastic.

  16. ibet the mother doesn't look any better... I wouldn't want to wake up beside that
  17. Enjoy a craft beer or top quality scotch or wine or a margerita or box wine or an OE
  18. I use 'em all the time unless I'm using a single hook, like when live baiting, drop shotting, wacky rigging etc. It's makes life that much easier when your changing setups. Unless your a pro, then feel free to complicate your life Try these..SUPER cheap in bulk and they are very stealthy. I buy the cheap swivel to go along with them... if I'm more concerned with twisting or breaking, I use the ball bearing swivels. http://www.luremaking.com/catalogue/catalogue-index/catalogue-items/duolock_snaps.htm
  19. Wilson has walleye. If you decide to go there, send me a pm and I'll give you some info about the immediate area.
  20. Beauty fish. It looks to be a Loooong soft water season this year. I wonder if we get any decent carp runs around here
  21. Cool looking fish. Are they considered invasive? Are you supposed to release them or kill them?
  22. Another good review of the President. Now let's see if the equipment catches you more fish!
  23. Not as stupid as it is innocent... But when a new fisherman asks " how do you know when there's a fish bitin?"
  24. I was joking that we might be trading august for march this year. I'd rather a normal season... All my vacations are in august! Ha
