  1. I saw pics in a thread somewhere on another forum a few years ago of a guy with a 5lb or more steelhead at Fanshawe dam. Totally random catch. Right place at the right time. With enough water in the river and the dams open (Springbank), the possibilities of seeing a variety of lake fish is hugely increased.
  2. I'd agree with the salmon part of that statement.
  3. I know someone caught one 1-2 weeks ago in the London limits. Check out the skunked.ca forums and you will see. I have heard they are around if you know where to look. But let's face it.. they aren't going to be pretty by the time they get up this far. Having Springbank dam out of commission has really let a variety of fish flourish in the London area. Pickerel, white bass, gar, mooneye, shad... just to name a few are all around more than ever.
  4. Make a new thread or Pm someone. Pls don't randomly jump into a multi-page thread and change the discussion. While your post revolves around the same general topic it takes away from the posts at hand.
  5. Coming from a 92 year old in a food court, that is awesome.
  6. That's a great shot. Must be well disciplined dogs.
  7. I don't know anything about sleds, but on a side note I know that if someone puts "must go" or something similar in an ad for anything they have targeted themselves for low offers. My uncle in the states buys used motocycles and fixes them up and he was telling me one time that he specifically targets ads with terms like "must go" or "moving" etc because you know right away that they need to sell the item and will let it go for less when making a deal.
  8. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...c=20857&hl= found it.
  9. Sorry, didn't mean that to come off as "this has been done, let's move on". Indeed it is an interesting topic. I was just thinking about it and I think the last similar thread was more to do with the soaring gas prices and if that was going to affect the number of fish you kept. Basically asking that if the high gas prices made you fish less, would you keep more fish. Someone will be able to link to that I'm sure.
  10. I'm pretty sure someone made a similar thread a few months back..
  11. Looks like you have yourself a good spot there. A pike and some good sized trout all from the same spot must be nice.
  12. Next to nothing to speak of all day in London. Had expected rain all day but it just never happened. Bright and sunny in the morning and then gloomy the next minute.
  13. I've definitely experienced that ice fishing for perch on Lake Simcoe. Nothing for a while and then fish after fish for 10 minutes. I don't have a boat so I can't say much for open water fishing in this regard. I think that if you are fishing a large body of water and targeting a species of fish that schools in large numbers you will have periods of down time and then experience bursts of fish after fish as the schools move through.
  14. I always think it's funny that there is only one pose those guys do in every single shot of them. They must get tired of holding their arms like that every time someone points a camera at them
  15. it's too bad the carp around here can't learn to jump out of the water and perhaps land in someone's garden
  16. Lol, when I read the OP I immediately thought 1990. So we have the '70s, '80s, '90s covered. Were they around in the '60s?
  17. Any trip that has "Incredible" in it means I can't afford it Looks amazing though. You go, and tell us how it went
  18. There's a true fisherman. Sticks himself with a hook and takes pics to help document a step by step guide on its removal. Nice fish too
  19. That's too funny about the guy netting a stringer.. probably thought he had it made for a minute there. Guys with the "boom-nets" are always viewed with question unless fishing off a pier.
  20. No, I'm pretty sure it's a fish
  21. well.. it's a sucker of sorts. Someone will know the type I'm sure. I'm gonna say White Sucker.
  22. most are free downloads or readily available for download. The maker's of these videos are just trying to get them seen, not make money off them.
  23. Wow, that's a monster for a river fish. You should try and edit your post so that the images are shown instead of links. Ppl like pictures here. WTG
