  1. Awesome... thanks for the info guys. I love the sound of carp in the morning
  2. Hi there, Does anyone know if there's good carp fishing in Wheatley Provincial Park in the month of May? Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the info! Never heard of a redhorse until now, very interesting looking fish... wouldn't mind catchn' another one even they don't seem as fiesty as carp.
  4. Heya, My boyfriend caught this fish over the weekend at BBQ island in Dunnville, but we have no idea what it is. First time i've seen one. Very pretty with big fins and white iredesent colour. Does anyone know what it is? thanks! -usagi
  5. Aaww... that's a cute one, nice fins on him... looks like he posing them for the picture
  6. Eeeww... the poor thing. It wasn't alive when you reeled it in was it? Or was it snagged?
  7. I caught my first (and only) mirror last year in July from a creek in St. Cats. At the time i didn't know what a mirror carp was... i thought it was a regular carp and that there was something wrong with it, looked like its scales were coming off. After looking into it i was releived to find out that it was a type of carp and not some funky desease Love the colour on them, very pretty... well, now that i know it wasn't sick -usagi
  8. Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated... feels like i'm leaning more towards the Long Sault for now and save up north for Sept., but we'll see. thanks again, -usagi
  9. Heya, I'm hoping to do some camping and fishing this weekend but i'm torn between 2 spots, i'm interested mostly in carp but also salmon. I heard that the salmon was starting come in around Wasaga this month so i'm kind of toying with idea of heading up there. But i'm also boatless, so we'll be fishing from shore. I heard the fishing at Craigleigh park near Collingwood is really good but was also thinking about maybe trying Long Sault Parkway on the St Lawrence for carp. I'm just wondering if fishing is good in either of those spots during late August. I usually fish the Niagara region but haven't been having much luck with carp over this last month so i'd like to try some new spots. Has anyone fished off the shore of Craigleigh or the Long Sault during August and is any good? thanks, -usagi
