  1. congrats very nice fish any time - but a great way to wrap up the weekend - and with an audience
  2. sweet fish - that would be a blast bringing in on a walleye setup- well done on keeping it on
  3. Congrats G - that was a great way to wrap up your first year on the water - of course you outfished me two of the three days, just like in the spring. Well, there's always next year
  4. Thats quite the way to spend the holdiay . But in a year or so I bet you'll celebrate Thanksgiving in your son's house and all have a good laugh about the day Wayne got the dozer stuck in the trench! You raised a great family there Wayne & Leah - congrats.
  5. great report - 1000 perch?! K, so how long does it take you to clean each one?
  6. Hey Vince - G and me are pullin for ya - Best wishes for your sister in law. Take a break and get those 2 beauty girls of yours out for a fishing expedition
  7. looks like a great great day was had by all. Great report
  8. Wayne - that's great news about Jen - she is indeed a fighting Irish - but the news about Kayla sucks. Thats especially tough for one so young. My condolences to her family and Jen, and you and Leah too as I am sure you guys developed a great bond over the last year. Your signature sums it up - faced that possibility 20 years ago. I was lucky.
  9. - what a great way to make memories to last a lifetime for both of you. Bet she'll be tellin that story back in the pubs for years - and all the local anglers be " You caught HOW many pike?" Dont forget to send some pics home with her
  10. that male is a beauty fish - congrats. Try tying a bucket to a length of rope when the wind is blowing like that and you're drifiting. Its not perfect but it helps. I used to keep a few bricks in the front too tied to a rope. If I found a good spot iit made an anchor, and when I wasnt anchored they were the front ballast. Nice lake to have 5 minutes away
  11. you won't be dissappointed. When I bought mine Jos at Angling Out fitters adjusted the factory settings to increase the sensitivity based on our discussions. You can see your jig go down the water column on it. His comment was you will be able to see the walleye hiding in the weeds. Its pretty darn close. Just food for thought when you set yours up
  12. - love the North of Superior scenery - looks like a great time.
  13. we're hopin' soon. East winds the last few weekends
  14. thats classic Simon - reminds me of G-man at that age he was singing Tom Waits "Cold Water" a household fave back then.
  15. Great stuff Simon - thanks. Nice to see a fishin' post looks like fantastic weather that day
  16. nice going great outing - dont get many days like that! Congrats
