it'll cost you to scrap it... Cost me $50 for my old 16' trihull 4 years back...
-
a TDR is $45 at BPS, the heartland is even less... why go through the hassle for $10 or $15?
-
probably not worth the cost... see about picking up some diawa heartland downrigger rods, they are priced very well... i use shimano TDRs and have had good luck with them... little bit more $$ then the heartlands, but not much...

1000ft of 30lb wire will load a 30 size reel good i have 1000 feet of 50lb braid on my braid dipsy reel and the spool is filled with 30lb mono on my mono dipsy reel mono dipsy worked well for me last year... just make sure you check your release tension, reeling an untripped dipsy in 300 feet is not fun...

i've been running pline evolution in 30lb test on my carp rod for 5 years. line feels gross, but lasts forever... would i buy it again, honestly i don't know... that's how gross it feels!!! never had any issues using it up at long sault either, where everyone told me 50lb plus or you'll lose the line...

follow the pack of boats... that should put you in the general area This year has been less quantity, but more quality... (less fish, but bigger fish) don't forget the net!! keep an eye on your sonar... that'll basically tell you where to put your lures typically fish are deeper this year... spoons, spin doctors and flies work well bright day, bright colors, dark day, dark colors... blue/silver northern king spoon (available at wally world and crappy tire) has always been a favorite of mine... dipsys, leadcore, copper also working... if using dipsys, you'll want a good sturdy rod holder... salty s10s work best you'll want about 20lb line atleast if you're new to the game lake trout fight way way less then salmon, first hookup and you'll see it's game on!! try and have appropriate tackle... (rods, good drags on reels...) try and find bait balls and work that area GOSD is starting tomorrow, it'll be a zoo out there... good luck

go fullsize or go home... i've got an 00 Envoy - it's small and gutless... pulls both the 16.5 aluminum and 18 fiberglass but it's gutless next vehicle is gonna be a full size pickup v8, 4 fullsize doors and an 8ft bed do it once, do it right...

Need some help to choose the right trolling motor!!
Uncle Buck replied to Jackie's topic in General Discussion
like everything, buy the biggest you can afford... next thing to consider is cable steer or electric steer... Cable steer is nice, but you always have to have your foot on the pedal also seat height and location are very critical or you'll get tired easy and quick electric steer will waste more batteries also steers slower unless you go into a terrova, but thats $$$$ electric steer gives you option of wireless steering, also co-pilot, auto-pilot, i-pilot if you go with MK biggest you'll get in 12V is 50 or 55lb after that it's 24V a 24V 65lb will last longer then a 12V 55lb i believe... i've got an almost new MK All terrain 65lb, 1/2 season of use available... my seat post is too far forward and i have size 15 feet, makes it tight upfront with the cable steer send me an offer if you're interested... not looking to give it away though... -

Don't mean to sound like a knob, but... it's a used motor... if you wanted new, you should have bought new... what were you expecting? it's your responsibility to check these things out before you fork over the $$$$ prop shaft seals are probably worn... you're lookin at about $30 in seals and time to change it... depending on the age of the motor, getting the bearing carrier out might be an issue... -
i'd be scared for security reasons... most garage doors have cheap locks on them... plus no alarm...
-
$300 for a rod with a crappy grip... sorry warranty covers blank only... looked like it had a set of channel locks taken to it along the whole grip... around it also... not impressed... just bring it in, we replace it no questions asked sales pitch.... i brought it in... sorry blank only... plus need the reciept... then one guy says snap the tip off and we'll "try" and warranty that??? i didn't do it... but awesome, i snap the tip on the rod, then he'd tell me, sorry warranty won't cover it...
-
Warranty doesn't mean jack crap... had a St. Croix avid float rod... "lifetime warranty" cork coming out of the handle all over the place... along the whole grip took it in, sorry, blank is covered not the cork... $300 rod What the hell???

so what happens with your board name then? -
i'm figuring the mushroom mine would be damp... dampness and steel = rust... sand down to bare metal in and around the rusted area, prime and repaint... find a different storage area this year... check your floors also, could have a lot of dampness/rot in them also...
-
my legend is a smokercraft hull and i had to get the whole bow area re-riveted.. check the HIN #... that'll enable you to cross reference the manufacturer
