  1. I guess we can let one more Sturgeon Fallsonien on the board
  2. Way to go Simon. I hear you about the confidentiality thing. We are reminded everey day. One problem I have is that I drive a bright orange Ford Explorer Sportrac (Pumkin orange) so it gets noticed. When I am parked in front of my clients homes people know why I am there. They also know to pretend they are not home when I pull up. Works sometimes. Glad you got into some nice fall walleye.
  3. Are you in Protected Hiding with a secret identity. That is sooo cool.
  4. Good job Randy. I love Wickstead. We fished the opening weekend there for about 4 years in a row. Lots of nice eating walleye and we managed a few blue ones too. How far down the lake did you go? Welcome aboard AverageJoeFishing. Are you a North Bay guy or Sturgeon Falls guy?
  5. Where are the pictures Manitou? Can't just tell us, we have to see the fish.
  6. The ATV industry is trying to get legislation to allow for passengers on the new (2010 and up) 2-up models. My understanding is that they will not grandfather any older bikes. Just 2010 and newer. I had an after marketpassenger seat on my 2000 Honda 450 and I took it off becuse I was told by police that I would get ticketed. My 7 year old always wanted to go for a ride on it so I got rid of it rather then keep telling him no. On Nipising in the winter the OPP and MNR don't pay too much attention to the ATVers. Usually not going too fast or driving crazy. Just wear a helmet! The OPP do "police" the snowmobiles more because they are often ripping accross the lakes like lunatics. My sled is a 1993 Skandic 503 so I don't have any speed issues lol.
  7. That is a long fall Randy. I witnessed something similar 2 years ago when a doe jumped off of a bridge (not as high) into the Wasi River just outside of North Bay on the hwy. to South Shore area. The river was just barely frozen and only a few feet deep in that area. We stopped to look of the edge and she was lying on/in the ice and was bleeding bad. No movement and there was nothing we could do. Felt bad but that's life I guess.
  8. Randy, I'm sure you have seen me there too then. I couldn't remember a face that I saw breifly 2-3 years ago? Besides were you looking at customers or tackle? Rod Caster you do look familiar though. Man North Bay is a small place.
  9. I had a buddy go there on Monday. He went to Parry Island (over the bridge) and fished for rainbows beside the hatchery. It costs $10 for a special licence there and kids under 12 are free. 2 Bows is the limit and you can drive right up to the retaining wall and fish from your vehicle or off the wall. He didn't have any luck but he witnessed two big ones including a 10 pounder get caught. The only advice he gave me was bring a long handle or stick to attach to your landing net because the water is 10 feet below the wall. He was using roe bags but the guy who caught the 2 bows was using the power bait play-dough stuff. Bobber with about 8' of line below. My buddy saw 3-4 surface so a spinner may work as well. No advice for eyes sorry.
  10. Jaques, You have had quite an impressive hat collection.
  11. Beauty skis MoeMoe. Are these fish in the shallows in the mid afternoon or morning? Nice shot of the magic lure. Where do you hook on the marshmallows?
  12. Dan, I'm guessing you're the short one, and she's the sweet one. Nice perch..except the one with the sores.
  13. September 24th is a great day. The wife and I celebrated 5 years yesterday. Congrats to both of you. I'll never forget your anniversary....welll maybe...but my wife wont.
  14. They all look like brothers.
  15. I love that one Jewlbee. Cop: "Are you a dancer?" Man: "No I'm just drunk." Too funny.
  16. No real nice way to put this but miscarriage usually means the baby (fetus) was not healthy. My wife miscarried in 2006. Our 1st boy is now 7 and we were lucky enought to have another boy in 2009. Both are healthy. I am sending my prayers to your daughter and your family. I pray that all things work out for you. If you're not a grandpa yet you'll make one heck of one. Take care.
  17. This is long without sound but this guy is WRECKED. The end is hillarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqHOE1gD4WQ&NR=1
  18. Good one. J.D. and Frog MMMMMMMMMMMM!
  19. We can all hang out in Randy's Mallard. There are still lots of walleye to be caught. I'm interested in helping to organize it. Maybe a little friendly derby???
  20. That is one sickly looking fish.
  21. Splashopper, Come up in the winter for some Lake Nip. ice fishing. There are a few of us on here that are talking about a gtg in this area.
  22. Hey linweir, Read Andy's new post he is thinking about selling some double cowgirls.
  23. Walmart and Can Tire sell a Rappala Line counter that attaches to your rod. I have one and have used it in the past. Worked well but was a bit cumbersome.
  24. Hook up with another board member from your area. I'm sure someone on here would be willing to take you out with them and help you out. It will probably cost you the coffees but it will be worth it. Oh, and they'll probably block out the background so you won't know where you are fishing..and hide their successful lures and tell you they always use mashmallows
