  1. Nice walleye Randy. I'm a bit suprised that they are still up or back in the river. Coffee at 9pm?? Do you sleep?
  2. You have to respect the "slot" size
  3. Great advice Fisherpete. Now what would you look for on a map to hold muskie? Did you fish weed beds, river / creek mouths, saddles between islands or islands and shore, shorelines? this kind of generic info is super helpful to us muskie fisher want-to-bes.
  4. 2 boats? Nice.
  5. What is with the mashmallows? I have never heard of them / seen them used on Nip.
  6. Nice Hat. I have one of those too.
  7. My oldest starts grade 2 tomorrow. I remember the horror of the first day. We put him on the bus and as my wife was taking a picture of the bus pulling away an older kid on the bus flipped her the middle finger. I swear I had to restrain her from chasing down that bus and pulling Alex off of it. Good job Ryan. Averie will learn alot of important lessons that can only come through exposure to new people and situations.
  8. Thanks. I'll check it out.
  9. 17 Specs = limit for 3 guys? Am I missing something? Is one of you only allowed 5? Nice outing. Can you share the web address for that place?
  10. Some guys I know were in Ramsay last week. The caught and ate their limits (4 guys) twice and brought their limits home too. Two of them also brought home limits of nice sized pike. They had some breif periods where they were consistantly getting double and tripple headers and then the bite would die off.
  11. Cudz you are hanging out in the wrong bars man.
  12. I hope his boss or manager is a fishing fan. It`d suck if he won the boat and lost his job lol.
  13. I am thinking the same way. I must have 10 different tackle bags and tackle boxes all full of stuff. I really only need 2-3. But if you`re purging I`ll still be looking. It think there should be a self help group for us.
  14. Welcome back Simon. Missed your posts and vids. Jack is getting big and I cant get over the red hair. Karter turned 17 months old today. He has fallen down the stairs and split his lip open in the last few days. He is a BUSY boy. Glad you had a nice trip. Sucks about the car. Blair
  15. Congratulations Crosshairs. I sent you a PM.
  16. Ohio, What site did you get the population stats from? Good post. Yes it is very true the harder to access lakes hold more fish due to less fihing pressure. Now-a-days with sleds in the winter and quads the rest of the year even some of the harder to access lakes up here are getting hammered. It is understandable why members wont post the locations / directions the their "honey holes" on this site.
  17. Jim, I'm glad you and your family enjoyed Nipissing and the fish cooperated. I will just say that I enjoyed a combination of caught and bought Nipissing walleye last night. I couldn't taste the difference I love fishing on Nipissing and when I go out and get skunked it would be easy to blame the natives but I blame the fish. Maybe if we would pay $14 per pound for the Cormorants we wouldn't have any problems. I can see this thread getting locked now as it really has no where positive to go. Thanks for the thread Jim, I hope you're returning next year. Blair
  18. I was at BPS today in Vaughan and was looking for 50 lbs. leader material. I looked at the the Power Pro, Rapala, Seagar, and Offshore Angler Extreme. I settled for the cheapest which was the Offshore Angler Extreme. (www.offshoreangler.com) The spool is 25 metres at .660 diametre 50 lbs. and it cost me about $25. Anyone have any experiance with it.
  19. Mike, Crystal Beach is beautiful. I grew up in Kirkland and spent alot of weekends sitting there. The girls from Rouyn are nice to look at. Wynn Lake is a tough fish for Auora Trout. As you said it is a small lake and has been fished hard every 3 years for a long time. Opening day there (on rotation) is like the Saturday morning of May long weekend. I love the picture of the little oasis you and the family walked to. Who built the bridge and dock area what is the story behind it.
  20. I have a 2000 Honda Foreman 450 ES. I love it. It has the electronic shift which is handy but not the best in the cold weather. WD-40 or Lock De-Icer helps. Full time 4 wheel drive but I have an after market Warn 424 Shifter on it. It is a very light machine and has tons of power. Not much top-end speed but I`m not about going fast anyways. It is good in the deep snow.
  21. Esker Lakes is a beautiful area. The boardwalk trail is a wicked shot.I planted alot of trees along the highway across from the dump when I was in Cubs.
  22. Brandon, I apprecaiate these pictures because they are a little part of me. I live in North Bay (last 17 years) and grew up in Kirkland Lake. Glad you didn't take the typical shots of the mine shafts. Wynn Lake has Aurora Trout in it and is open this year. Blair
  23. I have a 1993 Yamaha 90hp outboard on the back of my 1990 Starcraft 170C Walleye Edition. It has been parked in my driveway for the last month. On Friday I tried to trim up my motor to raise the front end of the boat up to drain it and it didn't work. The trim motor was working but it wouldn't raise the motor. I can manually lift it so it is not locked down but it seems like there has been a loss of the hydrolic pressure. Can it be a seal? I cannot see any oil that has leaked. Is there a way to prime the pump? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
  24. Dave did you fish at all? Or is it a vacation from the greulling job I have seen some big walleye come out of Cecebe.
