Crosshairs, I do truly appreciate your views on this subject. I wish all of the involved people would work together to address the status of the walleye population. Absolute serious question....are natives allowed to shoot cormorants? I think a couple of days of blasting them with shot guns would help out.

If this plan sticks, there will be NO walleye over 18" left in the lake in 5 years. The nets and anglers are all targeting/catching the same fish. 1000s of walleye caught this winter. 100s in the 18"+ range.

Club House makes an excellent Beer Batter in a powder form. Tastes great. Just coat your fish in the powder and fry it up.

Several friends have used the vapour cigs and it helped them quit, but recently I saw a story on the dangers of the vapour nicotine and how it could be more harmful then inhaling the smoke. Not a smoker. The vapour is from the States. There are dealers here who sell it like drugs.

Yep. I do 90% of my fishing on Nipissing. I am also going to volunteer with LNSA on Saturday morning.

Before this thread gets out of hand.......just let me share that the persons who were spearing are Natives from the newly recognised Algonquin tribe in the Mattawa area. It is not cool that the were spearing in an area where LNSA were set up for their re-stocking efforts and that they damaged the holding pens set up by LNSA but they have the right to spear fish and there are no areas that are off limits. Even with the moratorium on netting imposed by NFN and Dokis their member are still permitted to spear. I don't agree with it and wish it stopped but I have to accept it and fish-on.
