  1. Buy or trap minnows. The pups all love minnows.
  2. That's 2 more than me Nick.
  3. Glad you had a good time Nick. Even though I don't run a business renting the hut, I was consumed with "wondering" how you were making out over the 2 days. Thus the many texts for updates. Open invite to OFC members to use my hut as a hub if you ever wish to come fish Calander Bay for a day or weekend. Just PM me.
  4. You won't regret booking with Rob Hyatt. He is a good guy and treats his customers well.
  5. Reeds Outdoor Adventure will get you the most fish. They were formally Grump and Grumpy's and have the best spot on the lake for numbers of perch, walleye, and ling. Another great spot is Barry Kraemer from Seguin Beech Campgrounds. He has 4-5 bungalows that are decent. You will not beat the service Barry provides. Our member NAW should chime in by the weekend with his report from Palace Nipfisher. He is staying in my hut for 2 nights and although it is not a bungalow.....it fits the bill.

  7. Where's the Like button? Mind if I retweet this or add it to my blog?
  8. That is the best kijiji ad I have ever seen.
  9. That's a good job on the camera. Nice jumbos as well.
  10. Nick, my mitts stay in the hut and I clean my holes with my bare hands. Plus I work in the cold water almost every day of the winter. I use the O'Keefe's Working Hands before going to bed. It works best if it doesn't get rubbed or washed off. Some guys at work swear by Bag Balm.
  11. Yep no deals yet but the North Bay store is busy. My wife will miss her Starbucks.
  12. Shameful. I have been up that way a couple of times as my father lives in Burnaby and has friends in 100 Mile House.
  13. Fishabout, it will look something like this. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/blairmandyalex/CIMG1634.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/blairmandyalex/CIMG1636.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/blairmandyalex/CIMG1637.jpg
  14. Our Herring aren't too bad....it's our perch that have the worms.
  15. Those Herring look like minnows compared to ours here.
  16. IMO Marcum is a million times better than Aqua-Vu. I have the Aqua-Vu Scout and I have used the Aqua-Vu Quad. I didn't like either. Then I saw someone using the Marcum and even though it had a smaller screen it was a lot clearer and a better picture.
  17. The ice will be 15" or more by then so trucks/suv are not a problem. I will also have my truck there also. As posted above anyone wanting to join us and fish in and around my hut is welcome to. Lots of perch, small walleye, and some pike. The trip to the big lake will be via highway so no drinking for the drivers. With sleds it is only 10 minute ride but close to 40 minutes by truck.
  18. Brian, You mean sitting in my hut in a t-shirt with a cold beer and the tunes going is not hard core? Maybe I should toughen up and drink my beers at room temperature.
  19. A couple of us here have scheduled a GTG on Nipissing for some ice fishing on Feb 21st. Any other anglers interested in joining us?

Blair, when did you become HARDCORE? LMAO

Cant make that date have other plans. Have a good one.

  20. I used to get a few big ones every year out of Lake Nipissing through the ice. Lots of 30-35" over the years. Then back to back years we landed 43" beauties.
  21. The walleye bite has been very good so far but 99% are under the 18.1" (46cms) slot size. Perching is good.
  22. Glad to hear that Jen is as good as she can be under the circumstances. Stay strong.
  23. The new slot size on Nipissing will be difficult for keeper walleye. We started the season with 10 walleye all under the allowable 18.2" (41 cms).
