  1. Hey, Bill! Used it for four outings. Definited color bleed, but, not an issue for me either. No problems with breakage, pulled up some pretty good structure with it Haven't noticed it wrapping around my guides. Love the way it casts. Overall, I'd say if you can get it for $14.99 definitely worth it. Like I said, though, only used it for four trips.
  2. What can I say...excellent "character" development, spectacular photography, wicked fishing, adventure, happy and sad (sorry about the 12 year old niece, tragic) moments. Today is the last day I start my somewhat later shift, and, what better way to enjoy my later start than to read this amazing report!!
  3. Ryan, you know Juli, the boys, and I are willing to help with whatever you need. Be it setting up, etc...just e-mail or call. Cheers, Frank
  4. Beautiful walleye!! Have to love surprise fish, especially when they are of that quality
  5. That's beautiful Roy!!! Think that's what that beauty largemouth I lost on Friday was trying to signal towards me!
  6. Spectacular report TJ!! Man, did my stomach just growl listening to that shore lunch video!! Thanks for the quick reply on the "hotel NOT to book"!!!
  7. Some really nice "gold" guys! Have to love those small lakes!
  8. Have a great one guys and gals!! Since I work for an American company, should I not have the day off.....TO GO FISHING
  9. Great multi-species report. I'm with Dan, those brookies bring back lots of childhood memories!
  10. Great report Dan, looks like we should have given Long Point a shot Friday evening!
  11. Good stuff, Rich! Congrats on the fifth place finish!
  12. Great stuff Bob!! Good to see you had a great time, again, up here in Canada!!
  13. For grilling, nothing beats a good medium rare steak. I agree with Dan, keep it simple, don't cover up the taste. Since this is a fishing forum, my second favorite would be fresh caught salmon or trout. Skin on, right on the grill. Salt/pepper and lemon.
  14. Good stuff Geoff. We're heading out soon. Hopefully one of us can get an upgrade for the team!
  15. HAPPY CANADA DAY to all!!!!!! Will also be my unofficial bass opener, this afternoon/evening!!
  16. I have to agree with Terry. Mike has never hesitated to send info/tips/suggestions. In fact I put a post on here earlier this year asking for info on a certain area from anyone that had been. Not only did he answer, he sent me a long detailed PM on the area.
  17. Great stuff, Ryan! Always great getting out with your "old man"! Man, Long Point is quite the zoo on opener. Toying with the idea of heading out there tomorrow afternoon/evening. Winds are looking promising. We'll see you in three weeks, if not before! Take care
  18. My main reason for using the red hooks was that the Eagle Claw lazer sharp trebles I purchased the first time happened to be red. I found that my catch ratio went way up, compared to factory hooks on Cleos especially. So I've just stuck with it. Whether or not I'm hooking more fish...don't know. Yeah the "fish sees" statements are always good ones, but, I get the biggest kick out of the "pretty" topwater baits. Like the fish are jumping in the air to check out your lures
  19. I have to admit I still buy the majority of my replacement hooks in red.
  20. Missed the first game, but, hoping to see the rest. Cheering for Canada first, and foremost, Germany second.
