I'm a bass fisherman and I fish docks quite often. I usually wait till mid-day when the sun is high and the docks provide good shade. Up here in my area I have never had a landowner come out and give me heck for fishing his dock. They sometimes come out and ask questions about my bassboat or what bait i'm using and there very pleasant. I love skipping tubes under docks or boats. In the event of getting snagged on a dock and it happens once in a while I get out of the boat and go on the dock and get my hook, no problems. Lots of times they are watcing me from there cottage or deck and I just wave to them and they wave back. Maybe were just a little more civilized up here.haha. P.s. if they are sitting on there docks or people are swimming there I don't want to fish there dock anyways and just exchange pleasantries and move on.
Nice boat. now next year your gonna want a bigger one. haha. On extended warrany, you have till the end of you maufacture warranty to decide if you want extended warranty. But if you wait till man warranty expires and then ask for extended they will say sorry no can do. Thats what they did to me.
Pm Me Vinnie and I'll tell you everything you need to know. Might even join you for an evening fish. You will definitely get a good snack for the camp fire.
Hi Jen I have a small map around here somewhere of Hay BAy that we used last year. I will look for it and send it to you if I find it. Kinda thinking I left it in my buddies boat last fall but maybe not.
Thanks for the info Shawn. I didn't know there were fish farms in Ontario. Are these floating cages on Manitoulin and how many fish do they rear? Any idea.
It's a good scale for the money. But my old Berkley was more accurate. We use them for bass tourneys Roy. The 50 lb scale I use now usually weighs a tad on the light side compared to most weigh in scales. I find if you tare it before weighing anything you get a more accurate reading.
She's really taking shape nice guy. I really like the colour combo you selected. Looks very classy. Say look at me aint I purty, but doesn't yell LOOK AT ME, if you know what I mean. Is this your first bassboat?
Aquaculture to me is the same as having a floating pig farm on your lake or ocean. No offence to small scale hog farmers. Norway owns the majority of fish farms in Canada. Take a look at what aquaculture did to there wild salmon stocks. They have been totally decimated. Norway take your fish farms and go home or put them in self-contained pens on land. I would rather eat a manure sandwich than a farm raised salmon.
I always thought it was illegal to shoot birds while there on the water. I remember my dad telling me this when I was a newby at 14 yrs old. I only shoot them in flight. Seems very unsportsman like to shoot them when there swimming. After all, how easy is that?
The resin works fine till you swap out the old unit for a new one. A few years ago I replaced my fishfinder and it took me half a day to get the old transducer out because it was glued in with epoxy resin. When I installed the new one I used siliconed it in and it has worked flawlessly. Just remember you can't have any air bubbles in the silicone or it will screw up your readings. I just put a 1/2 inch of silicone on the bottom of the transducer then put it in place. Push down the transducer about a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch till silicone squeezes out the around the edge of the transducer and let it set up for 24 hours. Still gets water temp readings and if you ever have to remove your transducer for any reason a good pull on it will break it free.
I would definitely look at the TEMPEST ll prop by merc. It's a three blade, and you will get more top end then any four-blade. A 25 pitch will probably take care of you just fine. If not a 26.
Was thinking the same about the guages.... Had the same ones on my 95 Nitro. Water pressure guage went out twice and the tach also a few times. They are by no-means the smart guages.
