Not sure about newer vehicles, but I always just took the fuse out for the alarm system. It may not be inside the car, rather under the hood somewhere.

Solopaddler, Moosebunk...both amazing storytellers with awesome pictures... SNAG for pure hilarity!!!
-
Wow...fantastic outing guys! You cant go wrong when anyone teams up with you Mike...you have those fish dialed in. Even if the numbers aren't there, the experience is truly amazing. Great fish...I'm jealous!!!

I stayed home today...the commute in would have been fine, but I'm in no mood to battle the afternoon rush hour. Within a half hour of the snow flying, the roads were completely covered here! Be safe everyone!
-
All is right with the world again when CC's steelhead reports are back! Good going Scott...that's 2 more fish than I've caught in the past month!!!

Very sorry to hear about this Brian. I remember the updates you would give from time to time. Very tragic news...she loved and was well loved and will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with you..... Cliff and Carole

It was fun charting the progress of the tourney throughout the year...not being busy at work helped out in that regard...LOL. Looking forward to next years tournament already....as TJ said, we'll have details out soon. Thanks to all members of Team Extreme...I kind of like the idea of keeping that team static as the defending champs...hmm....

Thanks everyone...was a total team effort for TEAM EXTREME!!! Dont forget to add "2008 OFC Tournament Champions" to your signatures everyone. The OFAH bonus inches is what put us over the top... Thanks to everyone who sent in their entries...and for being diligent in the OFAH entries... Thought this video was rather fitting.... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdCrZfTkG1c&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdCrZfTkG1c&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdCrZfTkG1c&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> So...who's ready for next year? I'll be posting rules and signups for the 2009 Tournament soon.....

Hey Rick...really wish Bly and I could have done more!!! Thanks to you and the rest of the team, thousands of members and lurkers have an amazing community to visit...it's the least we could do...seriously. Now...get better soon...need a few pointers for those pike and walleye next summer at Lakair!

Sweet video slideshow of your year! Love the tune too.

I'll bail them out, but first I want to know how they plan to restructure so they never need assistance again. I also want to claim a certain percentage of the value of that boat. Finally, once the bailout is complete, I want to go fishing whenever I want. Do we have a deal?

LOL...worked on it today...framing it....need the warm temps for that. Send the snow mid week...then the cold a few days later!!! Need the snow to level the frame and liner and cold without snow to freeze it up!

Temps going up overnight here to 9C by the morning...lots of rain and a trace of snow when the cold side comes through. Keep it up there!!!

The sensors for my anti lock brakes were failing in my CRV. The system would engage even when there was no slipping. I took it in to be looked at and it was going to be 700 bucks to replace them. I don't even like anti lock brakes, so the guy at the dealership said to just cut the wires leading to each wheel. I was about to do that, when I remembered there was a fuse that was part of the system so I took it out and all is fine. Like someone else said, pulling the fuse may work....

How many different lakes did you fish this year?
ccmtcanada replied to mikeh's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm...not too many now that I think back... Sturgeon Scugog Chemong Lake O Lake St Clair Lake Nipissing The lake where Solopaddler's cottage is, and a few back lakes in the area. 2 back lakes north of Cochrane, again with Solopaddler...cant remember the names.... Ahmic Lake Fishnsled's secret muskie lake...LOL Bay of Quinte...although I suppose technically you could call that Lake O. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few!!! -
Good luck Lew!

I had the same error. Missing bin file. I opened the application and hit update...it downloaded and updated and all seems to be working fine now.

Our thoughts are with you as well... Cliff and Carole.

Thanks MSP! Hmm...about the fight. If you count one...maybe two headshakes, and then reeling in a log any better then yes...LOL. The big difference is we're pulling them up from about 6 to 9 feet of water with little line out rather than from 25 to 30 feet with a few hundred feet of line out there! As for bait...bly and I use wally divers and my fav are jointed shad raps...#5 and #7. Colours are all over the map. I believe it's the shape, rattling and silhouette that matters most at night.

I think your gonna need to wear a shirt today GCD

Boy..sucks to be you... It's freaking cold here in the GTA too....-2C...brrrr.... I'd me more excited I'm sure if I like ice fishing....LOL. -
Your overall success in fishing for Pros' and non pro's?
ccmtcanada replied to bassfighter's topic in General Discussion
Agree with what everyone is saying...experience, natural talent...all comes into play. Have I been skunked this year? Oh yeah...lots of times, on shore. One thing that hasn't really been mentioned is confidence. For me, confidence in your lure, your line, your setup, your skill is as critical as all the other things. -
Thanks Glen...LOL...I'm busted...here's a pic of that same fish...

Bly and I were really hoping to have another banner season shore fishing for walleye, but it just wasn't in the cards for this year. Our numbers were way down over the past two years, but we managed a few. We figured out that we only went out about 1/3 of the number of times we did in past years. The weather and water temps close to shore didn't help. The waters were very warm til the end of October...we needed much colder water to bring them close to shore. Also, the abundant bait fish we've seen in years past were scarce at best!!! Couple those things with just plain crappy weather, big waves, chocolate milk waters, and ultra clear waters on most of the days we did make it out, it just wasn't our year. Here are a few pics of some that we did manage to trick into striking out bait...only posting the 10+ pounders for the report. Sorry about the photo editing on this pic. I was up north helping a friend winterize a cabin when Bly went out. She managed the heaviest one of the season for us. A 32" 13lb 4oz beauty! I didn't get my first one until the first week of November. She beat my fish by a mere 2oz...LOL. This was also 32", and was 13lb 2oz. Another night, when I was practicing for a gig with a band, she pulled this one in...a friendly person passing by took this pic for her. This measured 29.5" and was 10 1/4 pounds. Bly also managed her personal best pike on one night we were out there. When it hit, we knew right away it wasn't a walleye...it was fighting wayyy to hard...LOL. This PB was 33" and weighed just a tad under 10 pounds. All in all, we had a great fall...all those muskie we caught more than made up for the lacking walleye this season!!

Hey!!! Great fish!! Awesome catch...
