  1. Damn you!! LOL.
  2. Thanks you two... And I have lost a little weight...not a lot...maybe 15 pounds in the past 18 months or so.
  3. I think I know what you mean...but saying the species would sorta give the lake away
  4. SWEET fish!!! Congrats all around!
  5. Fantastic pictures and excellent report. Love all the action shots of those muskies! Sounds like you'll have to set your fishing goals a little higher next year!! Great job out there...your hard work paid off!
  6. Congrats on your first muskie! You'll never forget it! Sorry to hear you only caught 22+ pike...LOL. Great report.
  7. I had a chance to finally fish with Fishnsled this year. With busy weekends, and his boat in the shop recently, I couldn't wait to get back out there with him. It's always a great day! There wasn't a lot of fish caught yesterday, but the boat did manage to complete the Kawartha Grand Slam! That is Walleye, Muskie, Largemouth (no, not Fishnsled) and Smallmouth Bass...and a little something I've never seen caught in this particular way before.... I met up with Fishnsled at an early hour...opened my eyes on the way to the lake to see this.... After launching and booting across the lake to find a sheltered area (winds were a bit high first thing in the morning), Fishnsled came up with the first fish of the grand slam...this little largie. Fishsled's buddy caught a few WGSF in between...and then came this nice walleye... After releasing that walleye Fishsled keeps on casting and says "Got another nice fish!" This time it was a muskie that attacked a small lure he was using to catch a smallie. No time for a picture of this one...released quickly boatside. Just before were were going to call it a day, I'm throwing jointed rapala and I feel a heavy hit. Wouldn't you know it, the 4th fish of the grand slam was boated. The release.... Pete wasn't about to give up...he worked hard all day long to catch something other than panfish and his wish came true. Throwing a spinnerbait, he picked up this beauty clam!!! I have seen them caught jigging before, but never thought a clam would be so aggressive to attack a passing bait!!! Thanks Will...and nice to meet you Pete...had a great time on the water with you two. Until next time.... Sorry about the picture quality...I forgot the camera in the car and had to use my blackberry....
  8. Solo? If you need a deck hand/photographer give me a call! Or do I need a ticket even if I'm not fishing? Some nice fish there Tony!
  9. Was hoping to see a picture of point number two!!!!! Great report guys!
  10. First one of the season is 49"? You've set the bar rather high right out of the gate dont you think?? LOL. Great catch...an amazing fish!
  11. Classic...just classic!
  12. No nickels, but some great looking fish there! When you can catch smallies, walleye and pike, you cant complain! Great job. Love the pic of you in that chair!!! Classic!!!
  13. Sweet fish!!! Congrats on hauling in that monster! I fished Balsam last year, and was talking to fishnsled about pike in that lake. He told me he has never seen one. Dont you know I go out and land a fair sized one that he took home for dinner.
  14. Wow Rick. Pretty scary stuff...but you handled yourself perfectly given the situation and helped to try and restore calm to chaos. Hoping that couple makes a full recovery....
  15. Stellar indeed! A great day for sure!
  16. That's more walleye in an hour than I've caught in multiple weekend trips up there!! COMBINED!! LOL. Great report Bernie...glad to see a successful outing for you two!
  17. Rickster...I know the feeling. I had a melanotic "lesion" in my eye a number of years back, coupled with fatigue, headaches and pressure behind the eye in question. Had to wait 4 weeks to get an appointment to a specialist, 4 weeks to have it removed and another 4 before I got the all clear. I know it's hard to stay positive....just do the best you can!
  18. FANTASTIC pictures and report Joey!!! Felt like I was there...missed seeing all you guys this year.
  19. I had a great day on the water Cliff! Great company, great time fishing, lots biting (especially the mosquitoes at sunset), just not the walleye. We'll have try again soon. Thanks for a fun day.
  20. Thanks Jim...I remember the offer and I may very well take you up on that!!! I'm thinking some walleye up at your cottage sounds like a superb idea!!! Fall perhaps.... Thanks for your kind words Nancy. I'm back on OFC again! My daughter has always been incredibly special to me...many of my reports have her in them I will try that fishing for frogs idea next time we are at the pond! Thanks for the idea! Bill...you're on!!! Didn't catch a single steelhead this spring! I live by that FLEX. Thanks everyone for your replies and your PM's. It's good to be back...you'll be seeing a lot more of my posts from now on.
  21. GREAT story! Next time go fishing for rock bass....maybe you'll pick up a sturgeon!!!
  22. Great report and pics Jen! Nice to see you guys getting out there...some HUGE perch there!
  23. Welcome to the best fishing board on the web! Look forward to hearing your reports!
  24. Welcome to the board!! Love fishing the Kawarthas myself. Will be up fishing Sturgeon on the weekend. Not sure it was actually removed Johnny...when they switched formats of the board it was likely more that it didn't go back up.
